Short films
 

Every year hundreds get made. One or two win Oscars. A couple of the directors go on to become brand names. So, what are some of your all time favorite short films?

I feel Paul Berry's The Sandman (1991) is a bit lost to time. Despite the style being in line with later stop motion hits like Nightmare Before Christmas (which Berry worked on), Coraline etc I don't hear this talked about much. Does what a great short should, a great tonal exercise with a kick at the end. Can be found on Youtube

Here's one I found recently. About an inept kidnapper who meets his match in a little girl played by Oona Laurence, who I've liked in other films (Lamb, Beguiled)
