Laaaast Christmas, I gave you a film...

Paul Feig is making a movie based on the popular title song by George Michael. I'm not even kidding. |
Re: Laaaast Christmas, I gave you a film...
I always wonder about these titles, but I guess it's usually like "we have a romcom and it gets renamed to something too-clever-by-half/something punny" after it's written, but IDK.

Yeah, no. I'll pass.

I think it's a missed opportunity to make it a romantic comedy instead of a drama. The song is packed with raw emotion, and would make for a great serious love story. Still, maybe I'll give it a chance just for the novelty of it. I do like the fact that the soundtrack will consist of previously unreleased George Michael songs.

Hey, it's PG-13, so I'll give it a shot, as long as it's not too SJ..:)

After watching the trailer, I'm not really sold. The "funny bits" were not funny, and the dialogue sounds unnatural and clichéd. Really not sure if I'll see it now, at least not in theaters.

Ah, you are right. I even see the same comments that was on my thread. I really just wanted to express confusion about how it's been presented in trailers which has been cleared up since I wrote it...I think. It seems to have gotten cheesier the more angles we view it from.
