Hope this happens, especially with Blunt and Cruise returning. Edge of Tomorrow might be my favourite film of the decade, except for maybe Arrival.

Very entertaining movie. On one hand, not sure what this would be about. On the other hand, the mere subject matter means a lot's possible.

Honestly, as long as McQuarrie's involved again, I'm in.

Edge of Day after Tomorrow

I've pondered this question for years. One phrase I've seen on Reddit is that this will be a sequel that's a prequel which might mean going back into Rita's loop.

What's certain is that this sequel presents quite a writing challenge.

Tom Cruise dies, goes back in time all the way to his infancy and with every reset he lives out an entirely different life.

Once he joins the Air Force, once he becomes a contract killer, other times a doctor, a motivational speaker, a movie producer but, eventually, he decides to settle down in Jamaica.
