I think it was a dystopian, Mad Max type future. One of the girls who had to fight was the main character/protagonist. That's really all I got!

Man I thought I found it! Stryker (1983) looked incredibly similar to my memory, but was not it. Anyway it's on YouTube if you want to see the style I'm talking about.
