It is not generally known, but Rudolph was a Nazi sympathizer.

Santa didn't want to deliver any presents to German kids during WWII, so Rudolph with the other reindeers of German ancestry like Blitzen drugged Santa and did it without him, skipping the United States and Britain. He got Santa in a lot of trouble for that. But the investigation by the DeNazification Tribunal cleared him. Rudolph wasn't so lucky. He was sent to a glue factory.
