If you can play region B, Masters of Cinema(our version of Criterion more or less) released Fantastic Planet on blu-ray, it's a fabulous release.

Super mega extreme bump turbo edition.

I was just thinking abut this, and wanted to make a list. Sue me.

Adaptation- There's no special features on the standard release. This is not acceptable.
L'enfant-There's already a lot of Dardenne in the collection, and this is my favorite of them all, so why not?
The Tree of Life-Another filmmaker who already has a ton in the collection. But, there's room for more. Also has a disappointing array of features on the standard release.
A Serious Man-One of the Coen's most under appreciated films. Two releases is not enough for these guys.
Spring Breakers- I would love some Korine in the collection.
The Virgin Suicides- There's no proper blu ray release here in the U.S, so this would be lovely.
After Hours-See above.
Jackie Brown-They could do so much with a Tarantino release. I just want a commentary track for once!
Arsenic and Old Lace-Again, a great movie without a blu ray release. Plus, this collection needs more Capra.
Come and See-Probably my most desired. A movie this good demands to get the Criterion treatment. No U.S blu ray release as of now. What a shame.

Re: Criterion Fantasies

For me? Taxi Driver on Blu Ray. Now I know it will never happen. They just released a 40th anniversary version. But Taxi Driver had a laser disc Criterion release so this would be a badass fantasy.

Then again I got plenty of extra features on my 40th anniversary but I would love to see the cover art and booklet insert.

I'd like Cry Baby, but that's a much bigger film, and it'd be harder to get the rights, i'm sure. Fingers crossed, though!

Is multiple Maniacs worth seeing? Every time I even look at the Pink Flamingo's cover I just feel bad inside for some reason :(

I think it's high time Criterion released two of their old catalogue titles...

Michael Bay's The Rock

And the unsurpassed masterpiece...

Michael Bay's Armaggedon.

Another one I'd like to see released is Bogdanovich's Saint Jack.

Perhaps if I could get easy access to all Criterion collection because on criterion.com it is like 39 pages and it is hard to ctrlF. then i would have to do pretty laborious crosscheck. However for now i would suggest
Cremator (1969) and
The Ear (1970)

Criterion 1000 is coming out...here are my/most popular guesses

Metropolis (1927) - fully restored

2001 A Space Odyssey - to continue the Kubrick run

Citizen Kane - cause apparently they own it...

I am supprised that nobody has given Jonathan Glazers's Birth a HD/BR release and you'd think that would be right up criterions alley as a cult film were the director would probably be willing to be involved with a commentary or other extras.
