Ok... might be worth a go. See how much interest we get.



The MoFo Map.
Using an online pin map, we can see the locations of MoFos.

The Map can be found here on ZeeMaps... each entry is a simple pin, just click it and it'll open the box to see which MoFo it is. Simple.





Now, please do not put postal codes, street names, full addresses or any sensitive details.
Even my own entry on the Map is a few miles off location to avoid anything too intimate.

If you want to be added, just go to the top of the map, additions, "Add Marker - Simple" and away you go.


You can move the marker as well by clicking the arrow at the bottom right of the pop-up box on your map-pin.

Edited the first post. I didn't realise you could do it yourselves. I thought it was only for the Map Starter.


I guess I didn't need to join up then. Oh well. The Map itself is "owned" by "The Rodent" anyway so all is good.

You guys, if you click on your pin, at the top of the box there's your name... click it and you can add your avatar as a picture.

Rodent's putting me on there. I'll be a North Florida pin.

I can see my marker when I click on the map, but I can't add my avatar. It doesn't seem to have any option to edit it.

Bring up the pop-up box on your pin and the tab called Media.


You can add either from your computer or a URL and then click Submit. Just like adding an avatar on MoFo. It takes a minute or two for the image to appear in the pop-up box.

I brought up the pop-up box, but there's no "Media" option. The only options are Zoom, Print, Close, or To and From Directions.

I tried it in both Firefox and Chrome.
Maybe it won't let me edit the pin because I didn't add it?

Ah... bring up the pop-up... at the top of the pop-up is your name... click that... then you'll see tabs at the top.

You can move it around a bit.


Click on the pin, and at the bottom right of the pop-up box you'll see an arrow. Click that and you can move the pin.
The box that appears in the middle of the screen can be moved as well if it's in the way.

It's there but I can't move yours, Lawyer... only you can edit your own pin.


Click it and bring up the box, at the bottom right of the pop-up is an arrow, click that and a box comes up saying Done and Cancel, (if that box is in the way you can move it out of the way) after that, you can move the pin.

"English" as in "Anglo" (the French still call it L'Angleterre meaning Anglo Terrain).


The Anglo Saxons were from Northern Germany and Southern Denmark. To be truly English, means you're actually German.
The usage of surnames by the Angles was also introduced by the French for taxation purposes when they conquered this little island of ours... so they could track more precisely who had or hadn't paid their tax. Before that, the Angles didn't use surnames.

Aluminum was actually a typo by Hans Christian Oersted which was snapped up by the 'mericans.
He spelled it with an i in every instance apart from one time in his extensive notes when he discovered it.

I will drop this whole American English thing after just one minor criticism. It's another pronunciation thing again, and it's how Americans pronounce English county names that end in "shire". Americans pronounce it exactly how it is spelt . For example, English people pronounce it: Derby'SHUR' or depending on the accent Derby'SHA'. It's goes through me when I hear Americans on TV shows pronounce it like that. That's it, rant over. Beer time! :)

Ultimately, it's up to Rodent where he wants this map to be on the casual/accurate spectrum, but I will say that if he decides he wants it to be accurate, you guys should definitely respect that.

We have been talking about it for years! A couple of small ones have gone off, though. John McClane came and visited LTIzzy and I for a week, and another time, Holden, Yoda and JC met in Washington DC.

Yeah, I'm always down for this kind of thing. I'll make time in my schedule if someone comes out near me or wants to meet nearby. I could be persuaded to drive a bit if it involved meeting up with multiple MoFos, too.

And I'm really holding out hope that one of my favorite video games, SpyParty, has a booth at PAX East next year, since that would give me an excuse to drive up to Boston and meet Sedai and the gang.
