Art Metrano, who played Lt. and later, rival commandant Ernie Mauser in Police Academy 2 & 3, passed away at the age of 84.

Very sad. I thought he was really funny in those two PA films.

It seems like this guy has been around forever. I'm trying to think of where I first laid eyes on him and I think it was when he was a regular on Sonny and Cher's first variety show. He was everywhere in the 60's and 70's...solid character actor and a very funny guy. RIP
