My Interviews with Actors and Filmmakers

Hey everyone,

I thought it would be a good idea to start linking interviews I have conducted with actors and filmmakers. It's already January 10 and I have done two interviews this year already.

Brian Krause - known for the original "Charmed" and the star of the recent horror/action film The Demonologist
https://worldfilmgeek.com/2019/01/01...-brian-krause/

Robin Hays - commercial director who made her feature film directorial debut with Anthem of a Teenage Prophet
https://worldfilmgeek.com/2019/01/10...or-robin-hays/

Here is my current complete list of interviews I've done in the past three years.

Nice interview, though I was hoping to hear more about "Grumpy Old Men" and the two Marvel movies.

That's the one downside of doing interviews. The interviews are mainly to promote their latest work, but we can mention some of their previous work as well. Mark was great to talk to and I've had my share of fun interviews that even delve into some of the interviewee's past stuff (see my Diane Franklin one as an example).

My latest interview is with Daniel Farrands, the writer-director of The Amityville Murders and The Haunting of Sharon Tate. The latter comes out Friday and he tells me what inspired him to tackle the 1969 murders from a different point of view and the reasoning for casting Hilary Duff in the role of Tate.

Thanks for that John :) Well, it's been a month and a half, but here is my latest interview. One of my favorite action film directors in recent years, the great Jesse V. Johnson, whose recent film with Scott Adkins, Avengement, comes out this Friday

My latest interview is with the legendary Lin Shaye of the Insidious franchise and others. Her latest film is the thriller Room for Rent, her third film with Arizona-based indie filmmaker Tommy Stovall. One of my favorites as this is the second time I've interviewed her and she has this passion for acting and loves telling stories about working on films.

Glad to see a review for "Room For Rent".. 99% of the movies I love were made before I was born, and the times I do find a new movie I like, it seems like no one else has seen/liked it.

I also bookmarked the site. Out of curiosity, have you tried to reach older directors/actors? Its much easier to be able to talk face to face with a legend who isn't a current star. Plus, with the older ones are dying left and right and you might miss an opportunity forever.

That's a good question! Well, I work directly with a few public relations companies and they are the ones who get me the interviews with actors and filmmakers. I was lucky to have been able to interview the likes of Karen Grassle (Little House on the Prairie) and Jon Voight as well as Lin.

There are also some new talents out there making their way. Matter of fact tomorrow, I'm conducting two separate interviews with two up-and-coming female filmmakers, one who just released her directorial debut in March and the other, her feature film directorial debut coming out in June, so that's pretty exciting as well.
