Optimus Reviews
http://img.pixady.com/2014/07/735529_image.jpg Hey everyone. I know I haven't been here long but Ime going to start a review thread. It will just give members a chance to see what movies I like and dislike. It will also give me a chance to get to know people on here a little better. My reviews aren't going to be to big like some members on here. I'll just keep them short and sweet. Reviews may contain slight spoilers. |
Re: Optimus Reviews
Cool. :) Looking forward to them.

Re: Optimus Reviews
Thanks. Just working out how everything works.

Re: Optimus Reviews
If you have any questions, feel free to ask here, or PM me/leave a profile comment/whatever. And when in doubt, you can always quote a post to see the code they used to do something. :)
But yeah, don't hesitate to ask! That's what we're here for. |

Thanks, but i think I've figured it out.
Since there only small ill post a couple at a time. My first review I'll post as a single just to see if everything works out tho. |
The Wolf Of Wall Street Directed by Martin Scorsese Starring Matthew McConaughey Jonah Hill Leonardo DiCaprio Margot Robbie The Wolf Of Wall Street is easily one of the best movies to have come around in a long time. It's sleek, stylish, sexy, and very daring. It's a movie full of sex, drugs, and humour. With some very fine performances, and some crazy moments it's easy to see why this movie receives so much praise. Martin Scorsese shows once again why he's one of the greatest directors of all time. |
Re: Optimus Reviews
Good work. However, we can't tag these for the main review page, as we require at least a good 2-3 paragraphs of content for that section of the site. For your own thread, any length is of course OK. :)

Re: Optimus Reviews
He's doing better than me though when he said he was working things out, I've been here near 3 years and still haven't figured out how to put the pictures on either side of the writing.
Nice, short, to the point review though, Optimus... |
Re: Optimus Reviews
I love The Wolf of Wall Street. It was my favorite film of last year, is one of my all time favorite Scorsese movies, and one of my favorite films of all time. Just a lot of fun to watch. Kept me in stitches the whole time.

Re: Optimus Reviews
Thanks Rodent. I just quoted someone else's review in the review section. From there I could see how everything worked. :)

Re: Optimus Reviews
I have watched Wolf twice now and really enjoyed it both times. It was just outside my top 10 but I think it should have bumped a couple of movies out.

Have you seen Master and Commander? That's a good one!

The Dark Knight Rises Directed by Christopher Nolan Starring Christian Bale Tom Hardy Joseph Gordan Levitt Anne Hathaway I had never been more excited about a movie more than The Dark Knight Rises. It was the most anticipated movie I'd ever seen, and yet it turned out to be a huge disappointment. This is probably Christopher Nolans worst movie yet. It was lazy compared to his previous work, and it had no originality at all. The story was very weak, the characters where very Meh, and the whole movie felt a mess at times, which is not like a Christopher Nolan movie. I think this movie was more about the money than the fans. (You sold out here Nolan). Iron Man Directed by Jon Favreau Starring Robert Downey Jr Jeff Bridges Terrence Howard Gwyneth Paltrow Iron Man in my opinion is the best comic book movie out there. Ime a big fan of almost all comic book movies, even some of the less popular movies like the Punisher. But for me Iron Man is bigger and better than them all. It's cool, fun, action packed, and visually amazing. Robert Downey Jr is fantastic. His performance of Tony Stark is exceptional and the whole origin of the character is one of the best out there. |

GoodFellas Directed by Martin Scorsese Starring Robert De Niro Joe Pesci Ray Liotta Lorraine Bracco GoodFellas is without a doubt the greatest gangster movie ever made. Martin Scorsese delivered one of his most accomplished movie here, with its strong cast, great story, and fantastic dialogue. Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are magic together. There probably my favourite movie duo ever. Between this and Casino they are absolutely incredible, and they steal every bit of screen time there in. The whole cast is exceptional and all deliver some very fine performances. American History X Directed by Tony Kaye Starring Edward Norton Edward Furlong Beverly D'Angelo Stacy Keach I've always had mixed feeling about American History X. I think the cast and performances are great. I also love how the movie looks, the whole black and white theme looks great. But I've always found the movie a little dark and quite disturbing. The movie has some really powerful scenes that really put the movie down in my opinion. It's a great movie, but ime always left with a nasty taste after I've watched it. ( if that makes any sense). |
The Expendables Directed by Sylvester Stallone Starring Sylvester Stallone Jason Statham Jet Li Dolph Lundgren Let me just get straight to the point here -- The Expendables Sucks. It's a movie full of my favourite action movie stars, and yet it sucks. The movie has a terrible plot, bad acting, and a bad cast. Seriously, there all way to old to be doing movies like this now. Stallone should be making movies about queuing in the post office for his pension, not running around blowing stuff up, and getting his a** kicked. Action movies from the 80's and 90's are best left there. Gangster Squad Directed by Ruben Fleischer Starring Ryan Gosling Emma Stone Sean Penn Josh Brolin Gangster Squad is one of the most overlooked movies of 2013. It received mostly negative reviews from critics and I honestly don't know why. I thought it was sharp, cool, and stylish. It had a great cast with some great performances from Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, and Sean Penn. Gangster Squad is a great looking movie, great sets, great costumes, the whole movie actually looks fantastic and it deserved a little more praise than it received. |
