You mean what happened when the station signed off to the "Star Spangled Banner"?

When a station signed off (stopped broadcasting news or entertainment), it still sent out an "Indian Test Pattern" to show that things were normal when they were "Off the Air".

I don't recall a specific movie at the end because they showed that local channel's pre-sign-off flick which included the Iwo Jima Memorial, but I don't recall that being from a commercail film. I believe it was more along the lines of a local TV broadcast showing that footage (from wherever) on their newa and going with it as appropriate. You gotta remember that we were anti-Commie but not anti-Indian in the '90s until somebody decided they should have more rights...
