R.I.P. Art LaFleur
 

Veteran character actor Art LaFleur passed away last weekend at the age of 78. He was one of those "that guys" who was always a welcome sight. His roles in The Blob and as The Babe in The Sandlot are my favorites.

I'll never forget this quote in the latter role: "Remember kid, there's heroes and there's legends. Heroes get remembered but legends never die, follow your heart kid, and you'll never go wrong."

It's sad to hear of Art's passing. He was good in everything I saw him in. I remember as far back as an episode of M*A*S*H and like you, The Blob. When the kid taking his daughter out came in and introduced himself, I'll never forget Art moving his newspaper away from his face what he said. :)

never heard of him but rip :(

He had a couple funny roles in "Air America" and "Field of Dreams". Also remember his MASH episode.
