Farewell to another great RIP. He was one of my favorite characters in Roseanne and was exceptional in every role I've seen him in. Impeccable comedic timing and delivery.

Best in Show (2000) Trivia

Fred Willard (Buck Laughlin) was specifically instructed by Christopher Guest to not do any research on dogs. Jim Piddock (Trevor Beckwith), on the other hand, had to do a lot of dog research so that his character would appear knowledgeable. As a result, Guest says some viewers are surprised to learn Piddock is not a real dog show judge.

Oh, this is so sad. I'm not really surprised though...during his last couple of guest shots on Modern Family where he played Ty Burrell's dad, he looked very sickly. Very talented guy...loved when he played Martin Mull's boyfriend on Roseanne and he just about stole the Christopher Guest comedy Best in Show. RIP
