RIP Olympia Dukakis
Passed away at the age of 89.
Perhaps best remembered for her Oscar winning role in Moonstruck |
Re: RIP Olympia Dukakis
And Steel Magnolias. Such different characters but she excelled in both roles. <3

One of those beautifully natural actresses who you never catch "acting". In addition to Moonstruck, I also loved her in Mr. Holland's Opus, Picture Perfect, Look Who's Talking and especially her scene-stealing performance as Clairee in Steel Magnolias...RIP

R.I.P. I was trying to post one of my photo threads but it was too frustrating since I couldn't find pics of her earliest roles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuVzF_r0kHQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ylo0fUNT9vc |
I watched Moonstruck for the first time last month. Delightful movie.

Nic Cage was pretty funny in that. But let’s be honest. That movie was pure Cher.

Let us not forget the old man couplet of Vincent "Death Wish" Gardenia and John "Frasier's Dad" Mahoney. Truly a great cast.
