Game of Thrones: Season 4

New season is coming closer and closer, what are your thoughts on season 4,what do you want to see?And guys,no spoilers.

First I want to see revenge for Stark's,I wanna see some of their enemy's dead,Ayra's list could work.I can't wait for battle for The Wall,I want to see how will North handle this situation,I want to see what will happen to Tyrion and Jamie, and many more things, season looks epic, people that read the books told me this season will be crazy,I can't wait. There will be new characters so yea...Also first episode should be about Ned's sword and second about Wedding, and something big should happen there ,that is all I know,I think every episode in this season will be huge and they won't have build up,they will go for it from the start.Your thoughts?

I'm looking forward to it for sure, but I've read the books, so the things I am looking forward to will be spoilers for those who haven't. I'm pretty sure one thing that happens this season will floor anyone who hasn't read the books. Hang on to your doublet.

Oh yeah. It's really gonna boil their leather. It'll shock them half-a-hundred times. I can't wait to see their bulging grey-blue eyes.

I feel the same way. All the TV watchers who raved about last season, I'm always like just wait. The best is coming up. Im not worried till next season. Book 4 was not so great for me. I have started book 5 three times, the world just loses steam for me.

Having read the book, I cant wait to see how this season turns out. There are so many scenes this season which will absolutely blow people away, especially in the latter half of the season when things really get crazy. I expect the 9th episode to be as insane as usual.

Yeah, I really wish I could go back in time and not read the books. I hadn't read them when I saw the first season and there was nothing like watching "the scene" for the first time. I really couldn't grasp my mind around that actually happened.

I love books more than movies and more than most anything, but the things that happen in the book don't have the same shock factor as when they occur on screen. I wish I didn't know what was going to happen, but you bet I'm going to get a huge kick out of other people's reactions.

I agree with Seanc that book four fell off somewhat for me. For one thing Daenerys isn't in it. I don't care what anyone else says, I love her. Also, I wish the scope of the books weren't quite as broad as they are. That's just nitpicking though, because I think they are fantastic.

When fantasy is done well, there is nothing I love more. Problem is that most of the time it's not. I have very few books, movies and television programs in this genre that I think are any good, so those I hold very dear. I can't wait for the premiere.

I'm glad I didn't read books, not because they are bad,far from that, but watching tv series without knowing what will happen is different and for me better exp...Example-Red Wedding :) ...And books started coming out in 1996 if I'm correct, and I was born in '97 so yea...Still I will 100% read books but I will w8 for tv series to end first.

Re: Game of Thrones: Season 4

I can appreciate what you guys are saying but my jaw dropped when I read the chapter surrounding Ned in the first book. I think the impact can be just as great. The character detail is so much better in books as well, obviously. I always want to fill in the blanks for people who have not read the books. I feel like I am getting the best of both worlds reading the books first. I am now getting a visual of everything that is in my head but I am also filling in the cracks with my pre conceived notions of this world. Love GOT, few books have been brought to life this way.

Godoggo 03-09-14 04:24 PM

Oh, I think the books are much better overall, I just wish I would have held off until after the show is over. I don't think you see The Red Wedding coming as clearly in the show as you do the book. In the book, there were several clues as to what was going to happen.

WARNING: "Book Spoilers" spoilers below
As soon as they started talking about how badly the band played, I knew for sure what was going to happen. There are other things that start to lead your mind that way before that is even addressed.

Even with the first season, the Ned scene seems like something that would have been a likely result of all that occurred before in the book and not the shocking, "No Way!" that it was on TV. A part of that I think was the fact that Sean Bean played Ned. That happens to supporting characters, not the hero of the story played by Sean.

Another reason, I love the books more is "The Hound" I like him a lot on the show; I am absolutely in love with him in the books.

So I gotta give props to her costume designer, and the photo is great. She dressed up for a jewish holiday. My initial reaction though was wishing Madonna would keep her old boney horny ass away from this franchise altogether.

I'm amazed at the production value of this entire series. Right from the bat, it has been great, and only improving imo. Wonder what the budget is... It must be quite enormous.

They should have Jack Gleeson just do a guest spot for 1 episode on The Walking Dead for the sole intent he be eaten. It would be a fan pleaser for all GOT fans :)

Im rewatching season 3 now, and Im quickly a fan of his future bride.
