Not much is known about director Yam Laranas’ The Road as of late, but the director has sent over the first teaser poster as a Killer Film exclusive as well as confirming to us that Johan Söderqvist, who scored Let the Right One In, will score The Road. The Philippine director impressed the genre crowd with his The Echo, and now he’s back with the mysterious The Road.

^ Devil's Playground is all right, one of the better lowish budget straight to dvd films to come out from that lot of actors/film makers, saw it last year though. America are getting it in September, I recommend just renting it if you want to see it.

^ Ha ha, Dogtooth was just really weird, good film. So will definitely see Alps, the director's next film. If you end up liking Alps, and liked Dogtooth, there is a film out called Attenberg, and the director of Alps/Dogtooth produced it and it's just as weird.

This was well received at Cannes, but it looks like crap to me. What is the point making an ersatz silent movie with a derivative story? You can tell just by looking at it for a few seconds it is not a real silent movie from that era and if they can't accurately duplicate that than the whole dubious exercise is pointless.
