At the end of the movie, Beckett said something as he was dying "<something> <something> Ballantine"

What did he say, and what did it mean?

I think you mean the part about him wanting to learn how to play an instrument after retirement. He’d mentioned it to Thandie Newton’s character at the beginning.

I think he said “I’ll never learn to play...” yadda yadda yadda.
