Sci fi movie crossing the desert in a bus

Can anyone help me with this one
Late 80's or early 90's movie. I thought it was a movie with Rutger Hauer but i'm not sure anymore


In the future They are fugitives (a bunch of mad max 3 look alike) and they need to escape something or someone so in this scene they are crossing the desert a no man's land in a futuristic bus or train and the temperature is raising so they can not go out of the bus.


Probably direct to video movie...
