Sita Sings the Blues to air on PBS

This is a cute little 'short' (80mins) that animates a traditional Hindu tale, with the added twist that the story is told through the 1930s songs of Annette Hanshaw.

It was held up by copyright issues, and only seems to be getting an airing on PBS because they have long-running clearance to BMI music etc.

No idea how it will hold up full length (I saw some of the sections when they were up on her site, and they were very promising). If anyone gets a chance to check it out (don't get PBS Britside) please do let us know how it was :)
