Thank you so much; that was very helpful. My list is now behind a button for the convenience of the readers of this thread. :)

I'll give it a go.

Might as well start with a first update. Been extremely busy lately so I don't expect too much early on.

Tonight my bad movie group watched Vampire Ticks from Outer Space which qualifies as my Independent Film. Well, 5 down, 47 to go. :)

How are y'all doing?

I don't think that I'll actively pursue this but I'll keep updating this just out of curiosity.

My List

Yeah, that is what I am doing. I am currently just watching what I want to watch and then later seeing if it fits one of the categories on the list (and I am only allowing each movie to check off one category even if it would qualify for several). I guess that I will later, if I really want to finish the list, start tracking down the weird stuff this summer.

As always, the goal is to widen your horizons by watching new films that will make you step out of your comfort zone. If you need any assistance or explanation feel free to ask.

Note:
How you count films is up to you. This is not a contest and it is up to each and every one to decide how they want to do this. I would suggest going for one film per category either in the main challenge or in nightmare mode, but that's just me.

Have fun watching films!

I watched Fight Club tonight with a friend who had never seen it. Since it has over 1.6 million votes, It worked for category 9. :)

By the way, he is young (22) and I have been showing him and his girlfriend a lot of classic, great movies that they have never seen. :)

Consider the implications of what you just wrote.

Probably not gonna watch with this in mind but will update if I see something relevant.

Yeah, watching porn is not a challenge at all. :) :) :)

Haha! I am still pondering on what I wrote though!!

Re: 2019 Movie Challenge

Yeah, that and you shouldn't "challenge" anyone to watch it anyway.

Re: 2019 Movie Challenge

I watched Black Moon on Sunday for bad movie night, which counts as my criterion collection film, and I watched The Blues Brothers on Monday, which counts for my musical film. :)

Re: 2019 Movie Challenge

I updated my post and set tentative goals for the Actor and Director challenges in nightmare mode. They may change later on, but for now they suit me just fine since it is too early to not be using films I watch.
