We Were Soldiers (really, really sad!)
Moulin Rouge
Braveheart
Peal Harbor (the first time I saw it I cried)
The Green Mile
The Patriot

Holden Pike 02-21-03 05:28 AM

I love Dancer in the Dark (2000 - Lars von Trier), Truly, Madly, Deeply (1991 - Anthony Minghella) and Savannah Smiles (1982 - Pierre DeMoro), guaranteed weepers all.

For dozens and dozens of suggestions, check out THIS monster thread, and THIS big ol' honkin' thing too.

Revenge of Mr M 02-21-03 07:27 AM

I let a few tears slip at the end of The Client.

Nikki 02-21-03 07:27 AM

The Green Mile..................

Lovecraft 02-22-03 08:16 PM

There has only been one movie that has brought me to tears. Some come close but only one that went all the way. But I'm not sure if its the saddest film I've ever seen, in both senses of that word. Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. ;)

notorious dmp 02-22-03 08:22 PM

I would have to say I spy with owen wilson, when they chucked those cars out of the truck thing.

Or die another day with bond, those cars.

other than that, emotional expression has never left me.

MyRobotSuit 02-22-03 09:06 PM

City of Angels

Ghost

Vanilla Sky

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

LordSlaytan 02-22-03 09:39 PM

"Tell me I'm a good man" from Saving Private Ryan.
"Is he smart?" from Forrest Gump.
"Mother?" or "Father?" from Bambi, Dumbo, The Lion King or just about any death scene from Disney.
"Why, why wwhhhyyyyyy!?!?!?!?" from Steel Magnolia's.

There are other's, I just can't think right now. Movie scenes that get me frequently are Father and Son make-up, death of a child, or death of a good animal.

Yoda 02-22-03 10:08 PM

Moulin Rouge! got me bad...real bad. But I held it in until afterwards. I don't think I'll be watching it again.
  • Braveheart
  • Orange County (don't ask; long story)
  • Planes, Trains & Automobiles
  • Riding in Cars wth Boys
  • Saving Private Ryan
  • Signs
  • The Patriot
  • The Apostle
  • The Green Mile
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
  • The Shawshank Redemption
  • We Were Soldiers
There's more...but these are the ones that come to mind just now.

Yeah, I forgot Saving Private Ryan, I haven't seen it in a while because it made me cry so much. :( Great movie though.

Jenny*B 02-23-03 06:26 PM

I cry at practically every movie I see. :( Yeah, I'm pathetic.
