Robert Redford Announces Retirement
The Old Man and the Gun, coming out September 28, will be the final film for Robert Redford, who told Entertainment Weekly that he is retiring after six decades.

Does anyone know if he is just retiring from acting? Will he continue to direct?
|
It’s probably both. When’s the last time he directed, anyways?
I felt the announcement didn’t really make much news but I suppose he’s not as much of a known entity these days. Kind of like how Beatty’s decades in development Howard Hughes movie fizzled out. Well, I suppose it’s as good a time as any to revisit some of the old ones, maybe get caught up on others (namely Downhill Racer and Jeremiah Johnson.) The Candidate is a really good, overlooked entry in his filmography, to whom it may concern. It’s precisely the kind of movie I wish they were making again (paging Chris Evans...) |
Re: Robert Redford Announces Retirement
I'm looking forward to The Old Man and the Gun, because I like Lowery. So hopefully it's a good one to go out on.

I kinda liked indecent proposal, at the beginning it had some good moments, but generally went downhil in the second half
