Nightmare On Elm Street
 

The plot is very simple really, It all started with a middle aged man who would steal little children and do things to them. When the parents of elm street came awear of this they decided to take the law into their own hands. Lots of parents gathered and set the building that freddy was in on fire and burned him alive, to their horror it would make him much much more dangerous.

Nancy was a teenage girl who living in Elm street started to have strange nightmares about this guy, thinking it meant nothing she wasn't alarmed.
Who best friend, Tina, also had these dreams about the same guy, that's when they took it abit more seriously. Nancy, Tina, Glen and rod all decided to have a sleep over just incase they had these nightmares again.
After having sex, Tina and rod went to sleep and to rods horror, he woke up and found his girl friend flopping over the bed and screaming. She would then be scratched across the face and pulled up the wall but a invisible force. Rod one then to a runner and be blamed for the murder as they also are. It would then be rod in parile, he was killed also in his nightmare. Nancy decided to do some research and stopped going to sleep for days and days, after a while of holding back her mother explained what the parents did to this guy who was in her nightmares. Nancy was determined to get rid of this guy with razor sharp fingers who wore a black and red shriped sweater, so she plotted with her boyfriend glen (jonny depp). Not knowing the dangers, Glenn went to sleep and was murdered by being pulled into the bed and bloody goign everywhere. Nancy was fed up and she went to sleep in order to catch this psycho, she would find him and grab him out of her nightmare. after a 10 minute struggle between them both freddy was beaten because nancy didnt show any fear. The ending seemed to be a happy one as her friends were al alive again and they set off in a car...her mother would then be pulled in through the window of the door by freddy THE END

Originality = 8/10
overall = 8 an ahalf/10

Of course it is the best of the Nightmare on Elm Street series due to being the first one. Parts II and onwards were rather... excuse my French... crap.

8 1/2 / 10 is abit kind of you

Seeing is how the first horror movie I ever saw was Halloween, and I was five by the way, I'm used to this kind of thing, so the movie didn't scare me. I love the character of Freddy Krueger though, pure genious.
