So apparently SW Ep8 will kick off just where we left it, with Luke and Rey.

But what will be the first words spoken by Luke?? (or maybe Rey will speak)

This is a pretty great thread idea.

I think it'll be something that wryly mirrors some of the things Yoda first said to him.

"I can't wait to see my buddy Han again. How is he?"

Probably about how she's too old to train or too scared.
Probably explain his exile as being afraid himself, and fear being a path to the Dark Side.


I reckon there might be a quick fight between them, like, she'll try to prove a point (she did after all hand Kylo his own ass and she's not even trained)... and Luke will put her down without even blinking.

Yeah he starts trying to act like daft Yoda and Rey is like "NO, I know you're Luke, the **** are you doing weirdo" :)

Like Pai Mei and Beatrix :), that would be kinda awesome

I wouldn't mind if Luke was portrayed as as an eccentric mentor like Yoda, due to his many years of isolation.

But, we'll probably just get something more close to Alec Guinness.

I just hope Luke is badass.
Spending years isolated at the place where Jedi originated.


I reckon he's been in touch with every Force user ever. I reckon the planet is like, an amplifier.


I also think Luke has been studying the Dark Side while he's been alone.
He's gonna be so badass.
