Searching for a medieval movie
 

Hi everyone. This is going to be difficult, i suppose, but it is worth the shot.

So, years ago, i caught a movie playing that showed a battle in a medieval town square.
There was a shot where the windows of the houses surrounding the square were oppening and closing, as the denizens were stabbing i suppose the occupying soldiers, as i think were the bad guys.

Then, the movie cuts to the breaching of a church where a wedding is taking place, but a forced one, between the arch villain and the love interest of the door breaching hero.

I reckon that this sounds like Robin Hood and First Knight, but it is nothing of the sort, as i think it is a european production rather than a hollywood one.
Also, i think the movie is from at least the 90´s or very early 2000's as it was very clear of image, without that grain of film of the 80´s, and i think there was references to a Black knight in the speech between the hero and the villain.

There were 2 Robin Hood movies in 1991.

Could it be the lesser known, less successful one?
