1970's
It was a tough choice for me between 1971 and 1974. In the end 1974 is what I went with. Francis Ford Copola had two big feature films that year: The Godfather pt. 2 and The Conversation.

Chinatown
Young Frankenstein
Blazing Saddles
The Great Gatsby
Alice Doesn't live Here Anymore
Scenes from a Marriage
Lenny
Alice in the Cities
The Enigma of Kasper Hauser.

I'll second Stu's recommendation of Children of Men. One of my favorite films of the 2000's.

StuSmallz 05-02-21 09:20 PM

Just starting off with a favorite year for my favorite decade in film (at least when it comes to Hollywood), if I had to pick a favorite from the 70's, it'd be probably be '75:

Jaws
Barry Lyndon
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
Dog Day Afternoon
Monty Python And The Holy Grail

And that's just for starters!
