HINT: He is an actor but better known as a writer. And though he was in many films, including a couple high profile ones, he is known as more of a performer than "just" an actor.

Spalding Gray Spalding was an actor you may have seen in supporting roles in the likes of Garry Marshall's Beaches, David Byrne's True Stories, Ron Howard's The Paper, James Mangold's Kate & Leopold, or his recurring role on Fran Drescher's sitcom "The Nanny". He is even better known for his auto-biographical monologues, several of which were made into feature films starting with Jonathan Demme's Swimming to Cambodia which chronicled his experiences making Roland Joffe's The Killing Fields and Steven Soderbergh's Gray's Anatomy detailing his alternative methods to heal his macular pucker. Soderbergh also made a documentary about Spalding's life and career called And Everything is Going Fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDzGh6Z2WxA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djKMTN71xgo OPEN FLOOR |
