Tagline Identification

Ok, most movies have a tagline they use to draw you into the movie. Example - House on Haunted Hill - "Evil Loves To Party"

Now, it's pretty simple how this is played. If you correctly identify a tagline, you post one. You can use anything to aide in identifying a tagline. Good luck!!

Here's an easy one to get started:

No Mercy. No Shame. No sequel.

Scary Movie

We Lied

Scary Movie 2

Some Men Are Born To Be Heroes

Also, another rule before Holden starts taking thing back to the 60's. Keep em fairly recent. 80's to Present.

Carry on!!

Holden Pike 12-12-01 05:52 PM

"Some men are born to be heroes" = Enemy at the Gates

"Man is the warmest place to hide..."

The Silver Bullet 12-12-01 09:54 PM

I don't know.

Is it "Alien"??

spudracer 12-12-01 11:10 PM

That or Invasion of the Body Snatchers

Holden Pike 12-12-01 11:18 PM

Nope and nope. Close, but nope.

Alien's is "In space no one can hear you scream...", and Invasion of the Body Snatchers' was "From deep space, the seed is planted...terror grows". BTW, since those were released in '79 and '78 respectively, Spud says they're off limits.

Think of all the alien body switching flicks, then think of which one was set somewhere very cold.

It's been mentioned about twelve times on the board today.

DUH!! One of my all time favorite movies

The Thing

The story of an uncommonly gentle man

sadesdrk 12-12-01 11:39 PM

The Story of Spud?

spudracer 12-12-01 11:42 PM

Close but....no

Holden Pike 12-12-01 11:44 PM

Spudster's is Edward Scissorhands.

"A comedy beyond belief..."

Holden Pike 12-12-01 11:46 PM

I don't think anyone would have tried to sell Sling Blade as a "comedy", one beyond belief or otherwise.

No.

sadesdrk 12-12-01 11:48 PM

no Holden, I was guessing spuds..Agh...nevermind.

spudracer 12-12-01 11:49 PM

She was referring to mine Holden. Sadie deleted her post though when she saw she was wrong. She told me she doesn't like these games too much so I tried giving an easy one.

The Silver Bullet 12-13-01 12:07 AM

Holden, is is "Dogma"?

Holden Pike 12-13-01 12:08 AM

That depends on what your definition of the word "is" is. ;D

And nope. Not even close, really.

The Silver Bullet 12-13-01 12:12 AM

I don't know.
Something about nudity?

Holden Pike 12-13-01 01:59 AM

Nah, "a comedy beyond belief" was actually the tagline for Raising Arizona.

Try this one instead...

"How many times can you die for love?"

L .B . Jeffries 12-13-01 04:15 AM
