Gang members beat up another member in a ritual to leave the gang.

I don't remember much from this movie except one scene. There was a member of a gang who wanted to leave the gang, to do this the other members stood in two rows and the member who wanted to leave had to go through. They would beat the crap out of him but once he made it through, he was out of the gang. For years I thought it was "The Warriors" but it was on tv last night and I watched it for the first time in many years, and it wasn't it. Anybody have any ideas??

Thank you for the links. I went through all of the movie plots on Wikipedia and none of them match. A real head scratcher. Thanks again.

"Colors" had a scene like that except it was getting into a gang. I'm at a loss...
