Afternoon, gents! New member with my first post here. It's where you just recast your favorite movies in a different time.

Great question:) – I'm still trying to do the Blade Runner one from a few months back.

Welcome to the site...so what you are asking is to recast a contemporary with stars from the 30's or 40's or vice versa, correct?

Your recasting of Singin in the Rain is very strange.

What's so strange about it? The three actors are charming as hell, and Gordon-Levitt knocked it out of the park when he performed "Make 'Em Laugh" on SNL in 2009.

Can Emma Stone just do that retrospectively, in everything:p?

Mads Mikkelsen should play the embodiment of Death in every film ever.

It's a deal:).

He was great in Valhalla Rising I thought. That had some nice stuff in it, and I was staggered to learn where it had actually been filmed.

Death in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen was really memorable, especially on the big screen. And there's also that great bit where he temporarily becomes a doctor to try and collect the Baron's soul.

Charm is one thing...singing and dancing is something else...can Bradley Cooper sing? Can Lupita N'yongo dance?

Was Jared Leto in that!? I can't remember him. It'll be funny seeing him in the film post Suicide Squad.

Actually, I might re-think Witherspoon's casting...not on my list of favorite performances of hers.

I liked Walk the Line a lot.

Lupita Nyong'o can do anything. As for the singing, wasn't Debbie Reynolds dubbed over in the original?
