The Cinematic Confessional
Confess ye ole' celluloid sins.
I, soberly and regretfully, put out into the vast void of the internet that I do not own a single Martin Scorsese DVD and yet I own Nothing But Trouble. If it can be forgiven... |
I've seen Robin Hood: Men in Tights around twenty times.

I know a Holden secret. Hohohoheeheeheehahaha.
I demand 4 cans of sardines, a pair of black dockers, and a shrimp boat...or I tteeellllll...the secret. Mwahahahahaha.... |
Ok here is my list o sins....
Demolition Man - "Is it hot in here, or is it just me?" I LOVE this cornball load of a film. The cheesey one-liners, the campy-future sets, and yes, even Sandra Bullock is looking good in this one. Send a Maniac to catch one.... Return of the Living Dead "I know you're in there Tina...I can smell your brains!!!" Ah, punk rocker zombies, don't think it gets much worse than this... |
I'm an 18 year old Irishman and I like Grease. I watch it every Christmas!

"I can get 70 miles to the gallon on this hog." But then again, this is coming from a guy who enjoys Billy Madison. "He called the s***, 'Poop!'" |
These are two sins I've gotten rid of. . .or whatever.
1.)I used to like the movie Now and Then 2.)I used to hate Donnie Darko (it still doesn't really impress me but I don't hate now) No, to the present. . . 1.)I almost teared up in the Fox and the Hound when the old lady leaves the fox in the woods. Suicide never seemed so good. 2.)I wanted to watch Titanic yesterday. I WANTED to! adajlasguaslk *shudder* |

I am having trouble coming up with any good ones for this one... I think a film is good if I like it. Does Clueless count?
|
I am a proud owner of a 'Demolition Man' DVD. Not only do I revel in the cheesiness of this film but the DVD features some of the worst dubbing ever in a movie when they attempted to wipe out all 'Taco Bell' references and replace them with 'Pizza Hut', which needless to say cracks me up every time.
Booth: Gun. Noun. Portable firearm. This device was widely utilized in the urban wars of the late twentieth century. Referred to as a pistol, a piece... Simon Phoenix: Look I don't need a history lesson! C'mon, HAL, where are the god damn guns? Moral Statute Machine: You are fined one credit for a violation of the Verbal Morality Statute. Simon Phoenix: What? %$#@ you! Moral Statute Machine: Your repeated violation of the Verbal Morality Statute has caused me to notify the San Angeles Police Department. Please remain where you are for your reprimand. Simon Phoenix: Yeah, right. [police sirens approach] Simon Phoenix: #@$%ers are fast too. I also have the Transformers Movie on DVD as well, I still get misty when that brave Optimus Prime dies. |

I've seen a version od Die Hard like that. They changed all the swear words to jibberish. Like the Yippee Kay eh line was changed to " Yippee Kay eh-Kemo sa!" That doesnt even make sense! |
blibblobblib I own Bicentennial Man on DVD and everytime i watch it...i cry.

Demolitian Man is nothing to be ashamed of, yeah it's cheesy but to heck with it i love it. I love the goofy bits the people of the future say like when sandra bullock tries to say things from the past.

I always liked it when I was younger, I reckon it IS better than Billy Madison. |

I liked both Clueless and Starship Troopers. Personally, I don't see anything to be embarrassed about with either.
Now, if you wanna talk embarrassment...I have always wanted to learn the banjo and somehow incorporate it within the realm of black metal. Cool or Embarrassing? You be the judge. BTW: UC...what is your avatar from? I recognise it from somewhere, but I just can't place it. Oh...wait. That's Hermione, isn't it? Duh! |
Duh Slay, dunce points for slay
|
Actually...isn't it more reassuring that I didn't immediately recognize the teenage girl for who she was immediately? That I don’t have her posters adorning my walls and use them to help me with recognizing your avatar?
Fine. Give me dunce points for being a well concealed pervert. *haha* What I meant to say was, “for being a well adjusted grown man.” My mistake. BTW: How old is she? WAIT!!! It's not important. Never mind. Nothing to see here. |
ah Slay you crack me up
and i think shes 14 |
I've barely watched them and even I know it's that little chick from the Harry Potter flicks.
And she's hot...you know, for a little girl. She can call me in five years or so. |

I'm a huge fan of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
|
I have passes to an advanced screening of House of Wax this upcoming Monday and I think I'm actually going to go.

I Loved Starship Troopers.
I Love Sturat Gordon. (I actually sat through Robot Jox, 17 times, I own Reanimator and laugh my ass off throughout ;)) I secretly want to be on "Dinner for Five." I am in complete lust with Kate Winslet, Queen Latifa and Helen Mirren. I love Spike Lee. (I actually only find Rosie Perez annoying part of the time) I have never walked out on a film, even Solar Babies which brings me to the 2nd part of this confession, I actually saw it in the theater on opening weekend! ALONE! Despite the bashing from the left and the right I love Michael Moore. I was doubled over with laughter during Hot Shots Part Deux. Another Het male confession...I loved The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. I cried when Optimus Prime died. Father/son storylines ALWAYS hit me....right here. I love Steven Segal Ahhh I feel better now :) |

After raking both TCM and all the hip aisan horror fils over the coals I have permenently banned myself from any Horror remake, especially a fun film like Price's "House." I have to say though I did like what they did with Dawn of the Dead, but I like Ving Rames, Mekhi Phifer and Matt Frewer so even if the GORGEOUS Sarah Polley wasnt in it I'd still have watched. |

Paris Hilton in House of Wax:

I enjoyed blue crush the first time I saw it, but my sponsor came over and we sat down and talked until that feeling went away.

No matter how many pots of coffee and cigarettes I have I still end up falling off the wagon. |
i watched the Guru (with Jimi Mistry) twice...wow feels soo good to get that off my chest!!!
|
Well, the confessional may be pleased to know I did not go to the House of Wax screening, but went to Melinda & Melinda instead.
|
How did you like it?
I thought it was decent enough, but I certainly don't care to see it again...ever. |
Paris hilton in cinema? She should probably stick to the home movies.

Anyways, yes I get tore up by these movies sometimes also. I hate that movie where they had to shoot the Old Yeller dog. Kills me inside and I don't know why. |

My favorite of these comedies is probably The Yearling. Combines the slapstick of Bambi with the madcap hilarity of Born Free -- if Elsa were a deer that kept eating the tobacco crop, that is... ;) |
