Teams (actor and actor or actor director)
 

I'm looking for actors who have appeared in three movies together or directors who have used the same actor three times or more. For example Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin appeared in numerous films together. Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine have appeared in several movies together. Can you identify any teams?

Werner Herzog (director) and Klaus Kinski (actor)

Herzog even made a documentary about their relationship : My Best Fiend (1999)

I'd say : Anthony Mann using James Stewart in about 4 / 5 / 6 movies like :
The Naked Spur (1953)
Strategic Air Command
The Far Country
The Glenn Miller Story (1954).
James Stewart was used by Alfred Hitchcock too in about 2 or 3 films I guess.... I know Vertigo and the Rear Window(Which I started to watch yesterday).

Coen Brothers and Steve Buscemi. Steve Buscemi have been in 5 films with The Coen Brothers. But i am not sure i should count Paris je t’aime, which they only directed the short segment Tuileries.

John Ford directing John Wayne.

There's the obvious, famous "Cavalry Trilogy", consisting of Fort Apache, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, and Rio Grande.

My personal favorite collaborations are Stagecoach, The Searchers, Rio Grande, The Quiet Man, and 3 Godfathers.

Ford had a whole stock company of actors he cast repeatedly, including John Wayne, Mildred Natwick, Maureen O'Hara, Hank Worden, Ken Curtis; Harry Carey, Jr.; Victor McLaglen, Andy Devine, Paul Fix, Ben Johnson, Ward Bond, Barry Fitzgerald, and many more that I can't think of.

Nice choice! Are you a fan of John Ford or John Wayne films? I've been watching John Wayne films recently and just rewatched 3 Godfathers...such a good movie!
