I will be selecting my very last list of anything, So decided Songs would be it or rather music, Its not anything about movie or tv show tunes, This is just my 100 favorite songs in no real order, Cause really with songs its all about a persons mood really. In 2020 sometime i may do a remake of my top 300 favorite movies list but for now think will be done bugging people with my lists.

I think there was something kinda special with the late 80s and 90s music for country its so much better then today. I am a bit of the Cash and Hank Williams Jr or Willie and Waylan type but Alan Jackson and a slew of other 90s singers just could create a great song that felt like country.

Wow, I'm impressed that you know of Sylvia! Oh, how I loved her! I also agree with your assessment of 80's and 90's country music. I really enjoyed much of that music. John Anderson (and Seminole Wind) was a favorite that I saw twice in concert. Continued nice music picks!

I also like that you included some 80's and 90's country music, but while I like the artists, I would have picked different songs for the artists that you included.


For example, for these artists, I would have picked these songs:

For Travis Tritt, I would have picked one of his ballads, like "I'm Gonna Be Somebody", "Help Me Hold On", or "Can I Trust You With My Heart".

For Tracy Byrd, I think his song "The Keeper of the Stars" is by far his best song.

And IMO, John Anderson's best song is easily "Straight Tequila Night", but I also love his song "Would You Catch A Falling Star".

But overall this is a great list, and I'm glad to see some love for country music around here for a change. :up:

He died far too young really. Another late 80s to 90 ish singers that came along and had a great sound.

Many years ago, Scott Carpenter, one of the DJs on the New York country radio station, recorded a version of the song "Tight Fittin' Jeans", but he changed the lyrics so it sounded like it was about a fat guy instead of a sexy girl. It was hysterical. :lol:

Wow, some good 80's C&W music on this list! I know a lot of hard core Country fans didn't like the gradual change happening, starting around the late 70's, but I go by the artist or the song and the 80's especially had a lot of great music I went dancing to. I'm a Rock and Roll person for the most part but when a Country song is great, I'll stand up for it, no matter the naysayers. Wow, Kathy Mattea, Chris LeDoux, John Anderson, Sylvia, and Roseanne Cash! Loving the Classic Rock but can't wait to see what other Country artists you list.

Big Iron I put in because My mom because she Loved Marty Robbins. She has dementia pretty bad and is now in nursing home. She has blood cancer.

Ned, I'm sorry for your mom. She, you, and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
