Generalize MoFos' film tastes
Alright, so I came up with an idea of generalizing everybody's tastes in a funny way. I'm gonna do this for some MoFos to show you what I mean:
Cobpyth - every classic movie is a masterpiece Daniel M - every Lynch film is a masterpiece Guaporense - every anime with little girls is a masterpiece mark f - everything by Wilder and Spielberg is a masterpiece, the rest is Miss Vicky - everything with Joaquin Phoenix is a masterpiece Mr Minio - everything kinky or contemplative is a masterpiece Sexy Celebrity - every Asian movie is trash and shouldn't be included on any Top MoFo list The Rodent - Young Guns is a mastepiece TokeZa - everything obscure and foreign is a masterpiece Yoda - Wars is Star a masterpiece Your turn! You can generalize another MoFos as well as those who's already been on my list. It's up to you. |
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
Rhys - The movie-force is strong with my young padawan, but he is not a Jedi yet!
|
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
JayDee - Every superhero movie is a masterpiece
|
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
The Sci-Fi Slob: Sci-Fi is AWESOME!!! (Shocker I know)
|
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
Bluedeed - Everything that Jonathan Rosenbaum and ReverseShot says is a masterpiece, is a masterpiece!
Raul - Every film others see as average is a masterpiece! (sorry :p ) |
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
DonnieDarko - Everything with body mutilation is a masterpiece
|
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
Guaporense - anything by Miyazaki or mentioned in a statistic is a masterpiece
Mr Minio - long takes and early porn films are masterpeices |
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
Sexy Celebrity - Everything that features drag queens or transsexuals is a masterpiece.
|
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
Mr Minio - I like contemplative cinema, kinky pron, and a good spaghetti western and Bela Tarr is the greatest filmmaker ever who made my all time favorite movie.
|
Haha, my tastes are too complex to be generalised.
|
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
You have to remove Young Guns from that one of me, buddy.
Replace with "Every Verhoeven Film is in my Top 100" |

Here you go Vicky, look up generalization for me |
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
Sexy Celebrity: I haven't seen any movies to be able to say what is or isn't a Masterpiece.

I think a more appropriate generalization is "every Joaquin Phoenix performance is stellar no matter how much the movie sucks." |

Bat-Glare! I am not amused! And it's not true anyway. There are plenty of average-decent superhero flicks and a few that even I think are s*it! |
If its good, I like it. Genre doesnt matter, but I dont like any genre just for the sake of. It has to be good. Ive enjoyed kung fu movies to Eat Drink Man Woman to Steel Magnolias to Lorenzos Oil and even liked a Michael Bay movie once. (every dog has his day ;)). Music's the same. I dont know how to describe that in a word.
|
My reaction to people saying generalizations are incorrect:
http://wowblog.grimmlabs.com/wp-cont...palm_thumb.gif They are supposed to be incorrect! That's why it's fun to make them!!!

Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
Mark F:
Guaporense: Its without a doubt a cinematic masterpiece, but it doesn't compare to the greatness of PMMM. In a way PMMM is a spiritual successor to Taxi Driver and My Neightbor Totoro if you really think about it. TokeZa: Oh you're a fan of Bergman,Tarkovsky, and Dreyer? Thats cute. (Begins watching obscure film from Indochina nobody has ever heard about) HoneyKid: Wait?....It doesn't have Drew Barrymore in it? Its trash.Boring trash. Cobpyth: Its not a classic? (Into the trash it goes) |
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
BlueLion: Classic American comedy you say?
|
Re: Generalize MoFos' film tastes
BlueLion: A black and white film you say? Eraserhead.
|

A typical Miss Vicky review:
It was well-made but I didn't connect to the characters. Also, animals were tortured. ZERO STARS.
|
Well, what a weird, random bump that was.

Wait, you know what might make this thread better? If you generalize the taste of the user above you. That way when you post, you're also taking a risk because you know... you're next. We did similar things like that on Rateyourmusic.

Citizen Rules: - movie had no laser gun fights, no hand to hand combat, no spaceship battles, no ugly alien monsters, few special effects, no CGI, apparently little budget and was mostly character-driven dialogue providing a purely introspective plot... One of the best sci-fi movies I've ever seen! |

@MovieGal needs murder and violence in order to be happy.
