Huh. I didn't think I was in the top 50. I browse the board every day but I don't feel like I post a lot, especially since I don't watch very many movies (at least compared to some MoFos).

Well I just see some people around and racking up posts at a much faster rate than me who aren't on the list, but I guess I have to remember that my post count has been accumulated over a four year period.

Oh my god, I post too much here.

Yeah, there are some old names on there. It actually makes it clear just how crazy some of their post counts were. We actually spiked a lot in posts around the second year, I think it was, and lots of people got to 5,000 or 7,000 in just a year or two.

That was the high mark for a long time, until 2010 when we smashed all our old records, but that was more diffused. The early years saw a much higher post-per-user concentration.

Some of these names I don't even recognize. Like who is chicagofrog?

Cheers, SC... I tried to make it look like on of those sparkly transfer sticker things you get in packs of Football Stickers and stuff.

You know the ones where all the other stickers/cards are standard, and one sticker/card per pack is a sparkly special 'collectors' one.

Indeed. I am posting quite regularly though, at 230 posts per month on average. That's mainly because I am "between jobs" since I joined the forum.

I feel like I post a lot; I think because I've never been a member of any type of forum before.

I'm surprised to see I'm even in the Top 50, considering I registered in 2004 but only have roughly 3,600 posts. I wish I could spare more time to post here, but being an adult keeps you busy. :/

What I find interesting is how I've changed over the 18 months I've been here.

My first ever post was when I made my review thread.

I've edited the first post since then, but it was along the lines of "Welcome to my reviews thread I'm new to the site, reviewing is more than likely all I'll be doing on the forum"

Since then, I've only made 199 actual review posts... and now 4004 other posts.

So much for only reviewing films :D

I am currently at +879 posts for the month. I aim to hit +1,000 by the end.

I know Sexy's well past +2,000 for the month, but am too lazy to calculate the actual number.

ETA: It's +2806. I'll bet he'll be at over +3,000 by month's end.

If we go by Daniel M's method, then both Sexy Celebrity and I have "higher quality" posts than 7thson.

7thson's rep per post percentage: ~44%
Sexy Celebrity's rep per post percentage: ~52%
My rep per posts percentage: ~62%

Personally, I don't care about being prudent. I do want to expand my knowledge of film and I try to make some meaningful posts, but mainly I'm here to have fun.

His +rep number is not even accurate. I know he has had Yoda reset it to zero at least once and at one point I vaguely recall him making a thread asking people to not to give him so much rep.

Yeh I don't particularly care for mine either, but I noticed I managed to get s sh*tload like over the last couple of months when I wasn't posting so often but I was doing Movie Tab posts as lot :D Over the last few weeks I have been posting a lot more often :)

And on topic, I am probably responsible for a lot of Mark's rep, at least it feels that way, I give it out way to kindly for everyone I think, but anything I agree with, find useful or informative I do, I probably give Sexy most his rep too, because I laugh at a lot of his posts.

I give rep out for a number of things, but most often I give it for posts that I find amusing. So I give a lot to Sexy, HK, mark f, Yoda and, recently, The Rodent (with his Marky Mark posts).

You and Rodent are lucky that negative rep no longer exists :mad:

Which leads me to my next point... I never got a negative rep, because I am such a nice guy :D

I've gotten a bit of negative rep, though my neg rep count isn't accurate because Yoda removed a lot of it. I try to be nice as much as possible, but I'd get really bored really fast if I didn't let my bitchy side come out from time to time.

Or, you know, a lot of the time. :laugh:

Also certain people really rub me the wrong way. And I've found my bitchy side has had it's uses because I seem to have a knack for making psychopaths show their true colors around here.
