Toy Story 2 in 3-D comes out Feb. 12th 2010. |
Re: Toy story 3
And Toy Story 3 has been announced, and the date will be June 18th, 2010

Re: Toy story 3
Im looking forward to see these movies in 3d :yup: and also the 3rd :yup:

Re: Toy story 3
Those bastards are screwing with my childhood memories. Screwing I tell you!
:D |
Re: Toy story 3
Hey I watched Toy Story a good 200 times when I was a kid and I look forward to a 3D version , probably the first movie I'll see with that new digital 3D.
|
Re: Toy story 3
I loved watching Toy Story when I was younger and I love it that my son now loves the film :yup: and im sure he will love the third installment also
|
Re: Toy story 3
Childhood memories abound! I still consider Toy Story THE BEST film by Pixar. I think mainly what works, unlike so many cg movies now, the characters and story were fresh and original. Too many CG films now are carbon copies of one another.
|
Re: Toy story 3
hanks and allen better return
|
Re: Toy story 3
I'm pretty sure Tom Hanks and Tim Allen will reprise their roles, they were kind enough to lend their voices to the little add-on during the credits of Cars.
|
Re: Toy story 3
has it really been 10 years
|
Re: Toy story 3
I think we'll all in agreement that Toy Story was/is one of the greatest kids movies out there, i'm looking forward to the 3D adventure but i'm a little unsure about a 3rd instalment?? How are they going to do this? I fear the worst i'm afraid some things should be left alone e.g Shrek should never have made a third outing!
|
Re: Toy story 3
i remember when the original one came out. it was awesome!
|
Re: Toy story 3
Easily the most anticipated film I want to see since The Dark Knight.

Re: Toy story 3
Teaser Trailer is Here
Not to keen on the idea , I'd like to see Pixar explore new ideas and continue their quality streak - although to revisit the Toy Story universe with the maturity and vastly superior animation of their recent films would likely make for one of their best yet. |
Re: Toy story 3
Im looking forward to see this and my son cant wait :)
|
Re: Toy story 3
I just hope they dont ruin the Toy Story franchise with this. Toy Story 1 and 2 were probably two of my favourite movies from my younger days and are modern day classics. If they can make TS3 good it'll be brilliant. I will definatly give it a watch though whether it is brilliant or not.

So Excited! I have seen the first and second like a million times!

Re: Toy story 3
I'm a great fan of Toy story till date. Two words- I love
|
Re: Toy story 3
Such a great film from Pixar. I'd definitely go and see it with the kids.
|
i don't need the kids
|
this might actually bring me to tears. I watched these movies as a small child! :( I loved them.
|
I will always love the first Toy Story, but I don't expect the 3rd in the series to surpass the original. That **** rarely happens. I was not impressed by the performance of Toy Story 2.
|
Re: Toy story 3
Just seen the teaser, I must say it takes me back.
I still think that the plastic aesthetic of toys lends itself better to being rendered in CG. |
Re: Toy story 3
I cant wait for this movie!

The first movie was GREAT. The second I didn't even know existed. This third one should be really great with the 3D stuff and all.. I'm really looking forward to this. I'm still waiting that they also do the sequel to Finding Nemo. |
Re: Toy story 3
Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only person alive who loves children's animation (especially Pixar), but isn't crazy about the Toy Story movies.
They're good, but they're highly overrated. I'll see Toy Story 3, but I'll probably just wait for the DVD release. |
Re: Toy story 3
Funny, Toy Story is really the only Pixar movie I've fully enjoyed.
|
It would be kinda cool since now Disney bought Marvel, if the kids would now have superhero toys in his bedroom too :)

Exclusive First Look! Toy Story 3 Teaser Poster Toy Story 3 is directed by Lee Unkrich and produced by Darla K. Anderson. The highly anticipated 3rd installment in the saga starts playing on June 18th, 2010! Disney Digital 3D in select theatres. Source: Pixar Planet via Latino Review John Lasseter talks TOY STORY 3 and CARS 2 Speaking in London’s Leicester Square this morning, Walt Disney Animation and Pixar COO John Lasseter gave a thorough presentation of Disney’s upcoming films. Among the highlights: plot details about Toy Story 3 and Cars 2. Pixar normally shies away from sequels and that policy has proved to be one of their strengths. Lasseter has talked about wanting to make another Toy Story ever since the second one came out. Cars 2, on the other hand, does not have such a warm and fuzzy backstory. The original came out in 2006 and, since Pixar takes about four or five years to make a film, the sequel was clearly fast-tracked to the top of the queue. Roughly $462 million will do that, especially considering its characters are much more ripe for new adventures than, say, the robots from Wall-E. Ten years is a long time, even longer in toy-years, but that is how long it has been since Toy Story 2 was released. We know that in Toy Story 3 Andy is heading off to college and, with the exception of Woody, is leaving his toys behind. When the toys are accidentally kicked to the curb they wind up in a daycare centre and it is up to Woody to save them from the most abusive toy-owners on the planet: five-year-olds. Empire is reporting the big news of the introduction of hedgehog toy with Shakespearean aspirations with the voice provided by Timothy Dalton (a.k.a. Simon Skinner, James Bond). Whether the appropriately named “Mr. Pricklepants” will be a new friend or a dangerous enemy remains to be seen but either way I cannot wait for a new trailer to hit. Cars 2 takes Lightning McQueen around the world for the Race of Champions and, for better or worse, he brings his new pit boss Mater (inimitably voiced by Larry the Cable Guy) along for the ride. At some point among the races in Japan, Germany, Italy, Spain, France and England, Mater saves the life British secret agent Finn McMissile, an Aston Martin of course, and finds himself plumb in the middle of some serious international espionage. Everything leads to a finale at London’s Buckingham Palace as McQueen tries to win the Race of Champions and Mater tries to save the day. Cars 2 is actually the Pixar-directing premiere of Ratatouille producer Brad Lewis and he has certainly expanded the digital canvas for the film. When Cars 2 was first announced I was surprised as it had gained a bit of a reputation as being the weakest Pixar movie. Though the sequel will sadly be without Paul Newman, expanded scope and complexity of the plot does bode well for it. Both films will be released in Disney Digital 3-D; Toy Story 3 on June 18, 2010 and Cars 2 in time for Summer 2011. Source: Collider Michael Keaton Confirmed for Toy Story 3 Director Lee Unkrich confirmed the rumors that Michael Keaton will voice Ken in Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar's Toy Story 3 at the San Diego Comic-Con today. John Lasseter said that "For 'Toy Story 3' we have the entire voice cast return. Barbie is back and in a much larger roll alongside Ken." He added that "it's a totally different emotional core that this movie has. We're really excited for it." The third installment hits theaters in Disney Digital 3-D on June 18, 2010. Source: Comingsoon.net More ‘Toy Story 3′ casting news John Lasseter of Disney/Pixar today announced that John Morris, the voice of Andy in both Toy Story and Toy Story 2, is set to return for the 3rd film. Morris, 24, will voice an 18-year-old Andy who is off to college. Lasseter also announced that previous Pixar collaborators Jeff Garlin (Wall-E) and Bonnie Hunt (A Bug’s Life, Monsters Inc., Cars) will also join the cast of Toy Story 3, while Whoopi Goldberg will make her Pixar debut. No word though on what characters they will play. Source: The Animation Blog Courtesy of Jrs' Sequel Buzz Thread |
Are any of you all going to see the Toy Story 3d double feature this weekend and check out TS3 teaser? I'm just excited to re-live my childhood memories of the movie on the big screen...the trailer is extra bonus! :)
Also, saw this contest online where you can win a trip to the premiere of TS3, if that's your thing, of course. |

Toy Story 3 Trailer We weren’t expecting the new Toy Story 3 trailer till Monday but it appears to have escaped early. In the film Andy is now a young adult who is heading off to college, which means his toys are sent to storage, apart from Woody who he wants to keep. However, Buzz and the gang are accidentally thrown away and end up at local day-care center where they are abused by the youngsters. It’s left to Woody to save them and help them escape. Thanks to Movie List you can watch the Toy Story 3 trailer here. Source: Filmonic |
Re: Toy Story 3
It took them that long to release on the internet? Dang, I saw this last Saturday with the double feature.

Re: Toy Story 3
I'm just saying in this day and age, most trailers are out in days, I wonder why this took longer, eh well...
And yes, it does look awesome and I can't wait, I'll be there at midnight. |
|
Re: Toy Story 3
Eh, I don't like the first two posters, something about Ham and Buzz seems a bit off. However, Woody and Jesse are perfect.

Maybe they're too smiley.

Yeah, I think it's just Buzz's pose.

Re: Toy Story 3
I'm definitely looking forward to this movie. Pixar can do no wrong in my book.(Well, except maybe Cars, but even that was better than most family movies) The short version is I can't wait.

Re: Toy Story 3
looking forwaaaaard !
|
Watching the first 2 definitely has me hyped up for this....I've been counting the days since I saw the trailer back in October. This is definitely one of my "must-sees" next summer!
|
I's so excited hope to see this movie.
|
There's an extended clip online, introduced by Lee Unkrich (the director, in case you didn't know already)
http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer...family-preview Hilarious but yet...a little sad. |
I am on the other side I think they should keep old movies like NEMO ALONE!! They were better off that way and by the way IDK if any of you know this but the springy dog is NOT in this movie!!
|
Re: Toy Story 3
The only thing I can take away from the "teaser" introduced by the director is Andy's mom became a damn MILF.
i liked the animation, it looks so polished and detailed. i kinda wish we could see what happened to Sid, the kid next door from the last movie. but ah well. Toy story 3 seems a bit predictable(where else can they go instead of Andy's college/crazy road adventure to regroup from separation) |
Re: Toy Story 3
I'm stoked(:
|
Re: Toy Story 3
Can't wait for Toy story 3, Since I was a child I love watching Toy story 1 and 2.. and now Andy is going to college, they would have another unforgettable adventure..
|
Re: Toy Story 3
This is actually my highlight of 2010! I sure hope it's worth that painfully long wait!
|
Anyone check out the newest clip from the movie? It introduces the newest character, Mr. Pricklepants (love the name!), voiced by none other than Mr. Bond himself (well one of them) Timothy Dalton. All I can say is, he's a cutie!

Re: Toy Story 3
The first Toy Story is one the best movies ever imo and the second one was also good so my expectations for the third one are high.

Toy Story 3 Trailer #2 Courtesy of MySpace, a second trailer for Toy Story 3 is here and it reveals what looks to be another sure hit for Pixar. In an era where most sequels are pure crap (Transformers 2), Pixar has managed to keep Toy Story relevant and even exciting through the most basic, yet overlooked, method possible: quality storytelling. In this latest installment, young boy Andy is now an awkward teenager ready to head off for college. Like any college-bound kid, Andy beings to sift through his possessions for what he will bring with him to school, and through a cleaning mishap, his old toys end up donated to a child daycare center. All of our favorites – Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen), Mr. Potato Head (Don Rickles), Rex (Wallace Shawn) – are tossed into a new world, with new toy companions and hordes of unruly toddlers to face everyday. However, some bonds in life aren’t easily broken, and when Andy comes looking for his lost toys, his toys in turn go looking for him. You can watch the trailer below: Toy Story 3 hits theaters on June 18, 2010. New additions to the cast include Michael Keaton as the Ken doll and Timothy Dalton as “Mr. Pricklepants.” Source: Screenrant, MySpace and Hulu |
Love the new trailer - thanks for posting! As much as I love Buzz, Rex & Woody, I'm pretty excited to see the new characters - think that Mr. Pricklepants looks ADORABLE. You can probably catch a lot of the new ones in the trailer, but they're also revealing the names of all of them one by one every few days. So far: Peas-in-a-Pod, Ken, Lots-o-Huggin' Bear, Buttercup....
|
I am looking forward to it!!:)
|
New character was revealed yesterday - Trixie, seen in the trailer chatting with a Velociraptor, lol. Perhaps Rex will steal her away...?

Awwwwww super cute poster, esp like Jessie's boot with Andy's name on.
Love the first two, and have stupidly high expectations for this one. |

Love that first poster - it looks like they're in a toy box looking out! Super cute.
The second one looks like they've escaped it and....see those kids in the nursey, lol. "Breakout comedy of the summer," huh....betting it'll be that and then some! |

New Vintage Commercial For ‘Toy Story 3′ The ingenious folks over at Pixar continue to build up anticipation for their new computer-animated sequel, Toy Story 3, with the release of a fake vintage commercial (circa 1983) for Lots-O’-Huggin’-Bear, one of the new toy characters that will appear in the film. Lots-O’-Huggin’-Bear (voiced by Ned Beatty) is the head (toy) honcho at Sunnyside Day Care Center, the new home of Woody, Buzz, and the rest of Andy’s old toys in Toy Story 3. Similarly, he himself has been a long-time beloved plaything for many a young child who’s passed through the doors of the school. Just check out this “classic” commercial for the cuddly toy bear and see for yourselves: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6dZtNYGlLM This new bit of advertising from Pixar is in the same vein as their recent “adult” Toy Story 3 commercials in that they both reference/parody real-life advertisements that older moviegoers are more than a bit familiar with -- the VCR-related static here is an especially fun touch -- while still offering some entertainment value for younger viewers as well. Of course, anyone who’s seen the second Toy Story 3 trailer knows that -- despite their outwardly friendly appearance -- the other toys of Sunnyside are less innocent than they appear at first glance. Will Lots-O’-Huggin’-Bear turn out to be a dastardly antagonist, a la Stinky Pete from Toy Story 2? The countdown continues as we wait for Toy Story 3 to arrive in regular and 3D theaters in the U.S. on June 18, 2010. Source: Screenrant |

Toy Story 3 ‘Ken’s Dating Tips’ Videos The marketing campaign for Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3 has unveiled yet another ingenious series of promos for the film, with plastic man Ken revealing some of his most treasured dating secrets to anyone who cares to listen. Michael Keaton’s voicework as Ken matches the character’s charmingly shallow mannerisms and fashion sense perfectly, and he continues to look like the most entertaining of the new characters in Toy Story 3. Keaton has long been adored by moviegoers for his turns as Batman and Beetlejuice -- the latter of which is a role he’s still interested in reprising -- and it looks as though he has another winner in the new Pixar flick as well. You can check out all three of the “Ken’s Dating Tips” videos below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjpdffTvwwg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmvF09q6fYw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-6ATVHDLlA In case you missed it, you should check out the “Groovin’ with Ken” promo from last week as well.
