Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Let's get mean! (but not too mean!)
Pick a film from the above members favourites list and ridicule it! You can do it even if you love the movie yourself. |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
A Clockwork Orange
By far the most overrated piece of crap in cinema history. |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Robocop looks out of place because it isn't very good.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Jaws is amongst Spielberg's most boring films (and I don't even like Spielberg too much) .
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
looks to me like rhys has a fetish for little boys :p
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
American History X shoves its message down the viewer's throat.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
I've done Rhys' list, I'll go at 101's
The Godfather... immensely tiring to watch... like a chore... compare it to doing the ironing while watching Coronation Street. |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
The best part of Starship Troopers was when that girl showed her butt to the screen. If you blink, you'll miss the entire movie :)
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
That was a guy that flashed his ass.
Network is another overrated pile of boringness. |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Then Starship Troopers was the worst movie ever!! It's been a while, I remember seeing a girl.. Are there any female breasts?
Robocop was punishment |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
One Flew Over The Cuckacoo's Nest is the definition of overrated.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
The Terminator is a commercial crap, with a ****** actor that doesn't even know how to speak!
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Pulp Fiction is exactly what it's called. It's a brain-eating pile of stinky pulp.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Lord of the Rings is boring.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Jaws was just a money-maker... Manipulation
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Star Trek Into Darkness:rotfl: That's not Star Trek....
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
I don't like Star Trek....
Hate to do this CR, but I saw Rebecca yesterday and didn't like it at all.. (I also fell asleep through Jane Eyre, but I'll watch it again) |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
...sends a triple shot latte over to Matt so he can keep awake:eek:
Your movies actually sound quite intelligent, so the latte dig is all I got! |
Fassbender & Wasikowska are the only good thing about this soppy mainstream melodrama
I don't know if I ridiculed it in a proper way, especially given I liked this film and rate it So now... you can prove yourself! Any post containing the word 'boring' will be treated as lack of originality. EDIT: Just came to my mind that you may be referring to the 1996 film. Anyway's melodramas for chicks! D: |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Fanny and Alexander is not Ingmar Bergman's best film, even though it's still great!
BURN! |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Mr Minio watched five minutes of Shame, saw michael fassbender masturbating, and now it's his favorite movie.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Actually I only needed three minutes and Fassbender's dangling penis to favourite it.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
42nd Street and Midnight in Paris weren't that entertaining.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.

Anyone who loves The Big Lebowski probably took a Special Ed class or two.

Look at you, Rodent, automatically thinking about the guy's ass. And on your birthday, too. That's hot. |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Vertigo's good but I don't love it like a great majority of Hitch's other films. It was the second film I seen of his (after Psycho) and that was years ago so maybe I'll love it after a second viewing.

Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
I don't care. INSULT ME!
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Willy Wonka was so not deserving of it's place on the 70's countdown. Compete with that bitches :p .
Also sorry FM, i'm normally not that cold blooded. |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
That's fine. Isn't being rude the point of this thread anyways? *******. :rotfl:
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
The Lord of The Rings? Really? Those films are part of the biggest and one of the most overrated snooze-fests in the history of film. I mean, that is what they were made for right? Watching whilst in bed when you can not sleep? Works every time.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Lol Donnie Darko. Surprised you even had other movies up as favorites. Guessing it didn't give you the option to write in "eye liner and middle school"?
ROASTED |

ROASTED No problems with the rest :p . |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Well Camo, you haven't completed your damn list so I can't ridicule any film. I have no problems with The Third Man. :p
|

Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Lawrence of Arabia - More like Lawrence of a Bore-ia...am I right people?
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
More Lord of the Rings? What is this world coming to...?
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
I agree. I've watched L of A three times over a good span, and though I'm not the type who wants to be "entertained" in the commercial sense of manipulation, I don't think desert scenery is good enough. Don't know how this made it to the Top 10 AFI list, either. It's just not interesting. I didn't even like Lawrence the character. I didn't like the acting, either.. It felt too robotic.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
As for Rhys, I consider 7 of those films excellent. I haven't seen Modern Times. I saw "Stand By Me" a long time ago, but I didn't like it as a kid, and it's a movie with kids as the main characters.
Donnie Darko on the other hand was nonsense. I hate to use the word "worthless" but the movie sure wasn't complex. |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
They Shoot Horses...Don't They...More like, they should shoot the director...am I right people?

|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
The wrath of God should have come down on Herzog for making that movie, am I right Suspect?
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
I see Rushmore on Seanc's list. Rushmore was directed by Wes Anderson who also directed Grand Budapest Hotel! AND I HATED GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL so I may hate Rushmore.
|

|

Taxi Driver is great but I don't like narration in films.

George Bailey would kill himself if he saw the other 9 films on your list.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Casablanca is okay. Like Vertigo probably needs a second watch for me.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? The owner of a gazillion overused memes?

Unless we take it to my new "MoFo... AFTER DARK" thread.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
I prayed for an alien abduction during our Independence Day commentary. Either you or me taken -- I didn't care.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Since Sexy hasn't filled out his favorite films I'll choose one from his ongoing list.
'Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot'? More like 'Stop! Or I Will Shoot Myself If I Watch Any Longer' |
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Ran - More like BLAND...am I right people?
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
For a film as heavy-handed about its criticism of neo-Nazis as American History X was, it still managed to develop a neo-Nazi fanbase anyway.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
The last film on your list was originally just called "The Good" until a false-advertising lawsuit forced some additions.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Fargo? More like Forgo and watch yourself a decent movie instead. (I don't have favorites. :p)
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Thanks for saving me the eye-sore by not listing your favorites.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Midnight Cowboy? Biggest bore-fest ever. Such a homoerotic piece of repeatitive and melodramatic cinema. "Hey look at me, I'm special and unique and look at how grim I make this city look and how sad my characters are". BUU-HUU....
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Anti-Christ on a favorites' list. Okay.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
The Godfather... more like the BOREfather!
....ok maybe I shouldn't try insulting The Godfather.... |
American History X stinks so bad that it should be renamed as American Shitstory X.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
Brazil is a huge disgrace to the actual place. Including Chinatown.
|
Re: Ridicule a favourite film of the above member.
