Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament

Yes. Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament. RULE #1: To feature a wide variety of music from different movies... You can only nominate ONE SONG per movie. If someone else has nominated a song already from a movie, and you haven't nominated any songs from that movie, you can nominate a different song from that movie. RULE #2: You can nominate anything as long as it's on a movie soundtrack. You can nominate selections from a score (instrumental pieces). RULE #3: This won't be strongly enforced, but keep in mind that some MoFos -- such as Cricket -- think you should only nominate songs that were specifically made for the movie. Or songs that are strongly associated with that movie. This won't be strongly enforced, but Rule #3 is about keeping this in mind. RULE #4: You must post the link to the song sort of like this: Annie -- Tomorrow -- Annie First put the name of the artist singing it, then the title of the song, then the TITLE OF THE MOVIE from whence the song is featured on the soundtrack. When you're adding links, replace "www" with "m" in the "http://www.youtube" link because if you don't then an obnoxious Youtube embed is gonna appear in the post and it won't look like a link, which is what I want. RULE #5: This will hopefully be a 128 song Song Tournament. I'm looking for 16 people to nominate 8 songs. If I don't get 16 people, some or all of you will be allowed to nominate more songs. If it's some of you, I will use a randomizer thing to randomly draw the special people who will nominate more. NOMINATE AWAY! |
Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
Trying to lure me in with a Halloween poster? Nice try.

Nobody answered my question from the other thread:
Does the song nominated have to be the actual version that was in the movie, or could it be any version of a movie song? For example, someone nominated a unique version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" in the last tournament. That's a song that was written for "The Wizard of Oz", but that version of the song was not in the movie. Would that version be allowed? (I like that version, but I'm not planning to nominate it. I'm just using it as an example.) |

More than likely, you guys will probably be adding more song nominations, but I wanna see who all might join this since it's movie related.
|
Yeah, I'll have a go. I usually avoid the song contests because I don't know half the songs nominated.

Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
I don't like either song, but I like the one you picked even less than the other.

Well, if Miss Vicky thinks I made the wrong decision, then I know I made the right decision.

Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
Let's try to get to Page 3 so that the next people who nominate songs won't have to be bombarded with Hit Girl's embedded videos.

Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
Wow we got some great choices in!
|
Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
I kinda hate that Hit Girl nominated a song that already won of these (Bohemian Rhapsody) and some songs that are currently competing in the Mega Song Tournament (Twist & Shout, Bad Moon Rising).
|
Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
Yeah I already won with Bohemian Rhapsody.

Also, none of those songs were specifically written for any of those movies. |
Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
I've thought of three more songs I want to nominate but I don't want to get rid of any I have already. :(
|
Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
That doesn't bother me so much.

When I think of Bad Dreams and music, I think of "Sweet Child O' Mine."
I looked through some of that movie on the internet not long ago. I used to have that on VHS. Never cared for it much, though. |

I know what you mean. I still use an old PC running Windows XP as my main computer, but I can't watch YouTube videos on it because the videos load too slow. I usually have to switch to hubby's Windows 8 system for this site. |

Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
SWAN. You have 13 songs. I need you to tell me which one you'll eliminate. You can only have 12 right now.
|
Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
Oh my bad. Sorry about that. You can get rid of the Conversation theme.
|
HIT GIRL
There's been some discussion and now two of your songs: Beatles - Twist and Shout (Ferris Bueller's Day Off) Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising (An American Werewolf in London) Have been disqualified because they're currently in the last rounds of Song Tournament 8 and have a good chance of winning that. Would you please nominate TWO REPLACEMENT SONGS for those and then Nominate FOUR MORE SONGS. If you want to, you can just write down the songs and the movie and I'll look them up on Youtube for you. |
Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
And SEXY CELEBRITY
You may nominate 4 more songs. Even though you're still working on your 8th song. |
Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
R.P.!
Go ahead and nominate 4 more songs. |
Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
Don't forget to add my last 4 to the data bank.
|
Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
One more person can join and have 12 nominations.
Someone else who joins after that person can only have 8, unless Hit Girl or R.P. don't nominate anymore. |
Re: Movie Soundtrack Song Tournament
I'll get those up shortly
