Whoa! Really? There's almost too many that completely negate his inclusion. However, I'll go to the top of the list.

Gotta disagree with you here, HK.

2012 was a steaming pile of poo, no doubt. However, Harrelson was actually quite good in it, IMO.

More specifically, he was the only thing really good about that movie and I say that as someone who loves John Cusack.

Agreed. My review for 2012 scored 15%, with 5% for the effects and 10% was for Harrelson alone.
The rest scored nowt.
Harrelson is a top actor.

As for the OP question...

Thomas Jane
Sam Neill
David Duchovny
Ted Levine
Morgan Freeman
Jeff Goldblum
Dan Aykroyd
Alfred Molina
Bill Nighy
Michael Biehn
Jean Reno

^ Probably one of his worst films. Though he does a lot of good stuff.

I haven't seen anything bad with Joaquin Phoenix.

Cillian Murphy. Boasts such films as 28 Days Later, Red Eye, Batman Begins/The Dark Knight and Inception. Plus his eyes just tell you he doesn't do any crap.

I like Cillian Murphy a lot as well, but have you seen Sunshine? That's easily his strongest performance yet.

Batman and Robin? Return of the Killer Tomatoes? From Dusk Till Dawn? The Peacemaker? Ocean's Twelve? The Men Who Stare at Goats (I haven't seen this but I don't know anyone who says it's good)?

Why is this a thread? There is literally only one actor on the entire planet who has appeared in only good films. Just make a thread about him and be done with it!

That's all well and good, but the title of the thread is "Actors who are always in good films" That's not the same as Actors who are always good in films.

I don't know whether he'd fit the criteria but I'll go for Brad Dourif.

Hanks was in Bonfire of the Vanities and Joe Versus the Volcano, two major stinkers.

Anyway, Sean Penn, who I mentioned in the other thread is in consistently decent (if not alway great) films.

Brad Pitt is really noteable in this topic though. He's a good actor but I wouldn't say one of the best. But if anything that (and the fact that at first he just seemed like he would be another pretty celebrity) just makes it even more surprising and impressive how well he's avoided being pigeonholed and stuck to interesting films and film-makers.

I think George Clooney is in this camp as well. Apparently starting with his partnership with Soderbergh.

For actresses I'd say Sarah Polley.
George Clooney was in Batman and Robin...enough said.
