Damn. I forgot about Seven. That, indeed, was a superb surprise ending! David Fincher is a genius when it comes to that kind of stuff. The more I watch David Fincher, the more I realize what a master of suspense this guy is. Has anyone else noticed the same?

The ending of SECONDS was awesome...the triple whammy reverse ending of MURDER BY DEATH was a real kicker too.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is one of the first films to have a shock ending, and, to this day, remains one of the most effective and brilliant.

I, too, was let down by the ending of ADAPTATION...great film up until the ending.

I think this is the post that Gideon is referencing by saying he found Adaptation's ending disappointing too
