Michael Keaton was the best supporting actor in the film. I understand it flopped, but this film is still a great time! It's an escapism from whatever problems anyone is dealing with in their personal lives. Flash might be my top comic book film ever. I haven't been this amazed since Superman Returns Andy is a good director. He balanced everyone. He didn't make characters act in ways they shouldn't. I'm a fan of the lighter tone and humorous parts. The Godfather Richard Donner would be proud!

I liked it, I know it was a long movie but it didn't feel like it.

I feel like the failure of The FLASH somehow doesn't bode well for AQUAMAN 2 when the time comes, but we'll see.. I just think comicbook movies have peaked and peaked with INFINITY WAR & END GAME and it was a long 10 Year Journey to get to that point beginning in 2008 with IRONMAN.. Perhaps a 5-10 year break for comicbook movies would do wonders??

I watched The Flash last night and wow, it was a hot mess.

WARNING: "10 problems off the top of my head:" spoilers below
1. The Flash eating a whole lot of stuff while running, like a gluttonous superpig on steroids.

2. Batman refers to Aquaman as a "super mermaid" (that would be merman, duh). This is just one example of a whole lot of bad dialogue throughout most of the movie.

3. We're reintroduced to Bruce Wayne as a long-haired, old hermit wearing slippers. Way to reduce our heroes to pitiful versions of themselves.

4. If Barry Allen wasn't annoying enough, we're introduced to an even more annoying, younger Barry Allen and now there's two of them for the majority of the movie.

5. Batman attempts to give old Barry Allen his powers back by dowsing him in chemicals and electrocuting him with chemicals, but it fails, so Supergirl flies him up through the rain into the clouds to be shot by lightning again... but wouldn't the pouring rain have washed off the chemicals? (I guess it doesn't matter because it's all b.s. anyways.)

6. Seeing the blue lightning behind the younger Barry Allen doesn't make sense because he has exactly the same powers as the other Barry Allen - it's done just to differentiate them. If that wasn't bad enough, the explosions associated with the different Flashes were coloured this way too.

7. In the final battle, General Zod and the other Kryptonians are much slower than the two Flashes, which doesn't make sense, because Superman and The Flash raced each other in the post-credits of The Justice League and were pretty much equal in speed. Also, if Zod is so darn slow, why can't the Flashes beat him? We've seen Zod's Kryptonian blade pierce the flesh of Supergirl, so it should be able to kill Zod too.

8. Batman didn't have to die at all: the Flashes went back in time and saved him the first time, so they could've just gone back and saved him a second time.

9. The younger Barry Allen gets a Kryptonian blade stuck in his arm. Does he bleed out? Nope. Does it slow him down? Nope. Instead he wields it as a f'n weapon! Not only that, he goes back in time so many times that he becomes a human hedgehog of kryptonian blades and sh*t sticking out of him. It's complete nonsense.

10. The CG is awful, especially the toilet bowl time travel effect that keeps reminding the audience that this movie is going down the sh*tter.

I pretty much hated it, but I have some rebuttals.

I don't have a problem with this in theory - every character has to start somewhere and it makes sense to have a character start at a low point so that their goal in the film is to work their way back to being successful.

I think that can be explained by the fact that Flash 1 interrupts Flash 2 before he's due to gain his powers so they have to deliberately recreate the accident that gives Flash 2 his powers, so a change in the circumstances should hand-wave the different colours.

Leaving aside whether Josstice League is canon or not, it's a Rocky III deal where you never get to see who actually wins after they start. Besides, a key difference is Zod being a hardened warrior wearing battle armour compared to the Flashes being comparatively new at fighting and wearing less sturdy outfits (especially the second one).

8. Batman didn't have to die at all: the Flashes went back in time and saved him the first time, so they could've just gone back and saved him a second time.

No, they couldn't. There's a saying that goes "insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result", which is exactly what happens to Flash 2 as he refuses to stop trying to save a doomed timeline. The whole point of the movie is that an infinite multiverse full of infinite possibilities will inevitably have a timeline where Zod conquers Earth and Batman dies, which ties into the idea that Flash 1 has to learn to accept his mother's murder because the alternative is interfering with timelines and ending up in the wrong one that's also potentially doomed.
