Doesn't change the fact that Liotta got lucky with a role in which he was anchored by great actors. One of those greats just had a plain, typical De Niro performance, nothing extraordinary about it, the other deservedly won an oscar. The movie is overplayed to redundancy. I loved the movie, but, in my opinion, it's lucky to make top 5 among gangster films.

I liked it as a kid, but not as much as I got older.. It's definitely not even close to being the greatest of all-time.
