Man I've been trying to think of a good list but it's kind of a mess, but here it is:

1. A tie between Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn and Sean Bean as Boromir (LotR)
2. Peter O'Toole as Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia)
3. Edward Norton as Narrator (Fight Club)
4. Cary Elwes as Westley (The Princess Bride)
5. Al Pacino as Sonny Wortzik (Dog Day Afternoon)

Honorable Mentions: Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates (Psycho), Leonardo DiCaprio as Hugh Glass (The Revenant), R. Lee Ermey as Sgt. Hartman (Full Metal Jacket)

Edit: Of course I forgot an obvious one: Steve Buscemi as Mr. Pink (Reservoir Dogs)

This was a good performance, but it seems a little outclassed by the other four performances you chose. I will say that Steve Buscemi has never been better than he was in Rservoir Dogs.

Well I would say it was a not as serious and/or dramatic role as the other ones. Princess Bride itself isn't a very serious movie—but just like O'Toole as Lawrence or Ray Liotta as Henry Hill—I think that Elwes was truly born to play that role.

1. Maggie Cheung - In the Mood for Love

Breaks my heart every time I see her in this. Defo the reason I'm not 100% gay

2. Emily Watson - Breaking The Waves

Best thing about the film, should have won everything going that year. The "you cannot love words" and the scene where she's locked out her house were utterly amazing. This was like her first film as well. Love her

3. Meryl Streep - Sophie's Choice

I can't believe Ursula Andress was offered the role first :lol: this was Streep's best performance to me.

4. Cate Blanchett - Elizabeth

I can't believe she lost to ******* Gwenyth Paltrow, she ain't even nice! Anyway, I thought she was utterly fantastic as a young girl who sacrifices her identity and interests in order to become one of Britain's finest monarchs.

5. Tony Leung - 2046

The development of his character from 'In the Mood for Love' was simply superb.

Everyone in Clue but if I have to pick one, Tim Curry

I used to love Clue :), and he was great in it. It's a hell of a cast. I saw a young Lesley Ann Warren the other day in an episode of Columbo, so naturally I thought of Clue.
