Well I do like his confidence in taking on this project and I'm happy to see he's sticking with the original Captain Kirk mask. Very anxious in seeing just how this all works out. :yup:

As far as I'm concerned, it's a dice roll. Could be good, could be bad.

Sci-Fi-Guy, you are not the only one interested in the idea.

and Taxi Driver, I think Michael could hold his own. However, that is an unending debate.

Could this actually be the first teaser trailer of Zombie's Halloween. Eh, I'm thinking just some silly fan made junk. :yup:

I think your right. I always figured him to be pure evil without a hint of light behind those black eyes and for no reason other than because that is his nature pure and simple. That guy said it perfectly in that link you gave though:

When you explain away Michael, giving him modern day serial killer hellish upbringing, you take away his power. He no longer represents a myth bigger than a person, he doesn't represent death incarnate. He's just an average psycho in a mask. There's nothing special to him anymore.

I try not to be swayed so easily just because one script review said its not good and also Zombie has stated that its not the final script its going through alot more rewrites. however the cast is looking really promising for those who don't know it stars Malcolm McDowell(A Clockwork Orange) as Loomis, Tyler Mane(X-men) as Michael and also Ken Foree(Dawn of the Dead), Danielle Harris(Halloween 4 and 5) and Brad Dourif(Childs play series, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest)

I am so appalled. I thought Zombie could make it work. But when I read over the stuff he included in the script... I can't believe he thought those things would make a great Halloween remake. Seriously... Michael Myers masturbating to polaroids of dead animals and listening to them die on a tape recorder? That's like Chucky masturbating to Fangoria in Seed of Chucky. WTF??? This is just more freakshow crap that Rob Zombie is obsessed with. He can't make a good Halloween movie. It might be good in a notorious kind of way... but damn. The webcam idea of Halloween: Resurrection sounds a helluva lot more classier. Michael Myers killing off the next season of American Idol sounds more classier. This whole business of little Mikey Myers making these different masks to reflect his moods... including when he's ready to do a #2... a talking Michael Myers who masturbates to dead animal porn... what kind of drugs was Rob Zombie on when he wrote this?

I'm not someone who hates shocking works of art... but this is ALL wrong. I remember how pissed off fans were when Michael killed a man by making his head explode in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, ten years ago. That was Muppet Babies compared to this. I know I still haven't seen the finished product that will be Rob Zombie's Halloween, but I'm pretty certain that Zombie isn't going to make a film that captures the spirit of the original. Unless that review was fake to throw us off... ? Moustapha Akkad, the poor guy, is probably rolling so much in his grave that he's dead dizzy.

I heard about it 2 months ago. It is more than likely true. It's all just a part of his "Re-imaging".
I kept saying it would suck. Boy, did I hit the nail on the head, or what!?!
First The Fog, now this, and sometime later, The Thing. STOP IT!

Wow, I think there are too many movies in this series for Zombie to come in and try to remake it in his own image. If it feels more like "Rob Zombie" than "Halloween," then the focus is in the wrong place.

I say keep it on the mystique that is Michael Myers: No exploding heads, no "poor poor Mikey" upbringing. Those are opposite extremes of a very difficult tightrope to walk. Doing this movie well means perhaps never accounting for Michael's off-centeredness. There are some things that just can't be explained away. Why is that such a difficult concept?

I personally don't need to see that X + Y = Why Michael Started Killing People. Not in a direct line, anyway. And if there is any sort of real explanation, I'd rather it be psychological than to see that it involved kitty porn (get it? "kitty porn"?) and polaroids. Geez. If you told me just that part of it, I'd know immediately it was Rob Zombie.

I saw the original Halloween when it first came out in theaters. Please, Mr. Zombie, don't ruin that pure experience for me.
