Nothing to complain about in terms of acting in Solaris....or the 2002 version which I think is very underrated.

I will see Solaris someday too, because it's USSR movie featuring a Lithuanian actor in the lead role. The thing is,that I'm not a fan of sci-fi,especially of "slow sci-fi"(like 2001) so I just keep postponing this movie.

These are movies not previously posted, except for maybe in HK's link to his top 100...I gave up after I saw Roadhouse ;)

Way of the Gun
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
The Third Man
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
Dark City
25th Hour
The Proposition
Clue
Enter the Void
The Cooler
The Killer Inside Me
Hanna
Children of Men
Stranger Than Fiction
The Salton Sea
Darkman

I think that's sixteen...but I think I left off about 100.

Slow sci-fi can be great, if it is done right, however on a rainy Sunday I'd watch the likes of Independence Day and/or Empire Strikes Back over 2001 10/10 times.

I'll just post some movies I think are great. These aren't necessarily in my top 10-20, but they are somewhat unique choices people don't talk about. Surely in my top 100 though.

Lucky One
Red Eye
Grapes of Wrath
Independence Day
It Happened One Night
Iron Man
Gran Torino
Descendants
State of Play
Gone Baby Gone
Wedding Crashers
Sansho the Bailiff

Disagree. Red Eye, Wedding Crashers, and The Lucky Ones to me is what Charlie's Angels is to HK.

Is "whack" a American saying or a young saying?

Well, my ancestors were smart enough not to get sent to a penal colony. :p:D

Actually, I'm sure she meant the slang meaning, such as "crazy", "mad" or "ridiculous." If you give it the mafia spin, it's a very different comment. It'd also be grammatically incorrect, but I suspect the mafia aren't concerned with that.
