I'm not sure how to truly rank those^^top three.

4. Ikiru
5. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
6. Human Condition I
7. Human Condition II
8. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
9. Suspicion
10. Human Condition II
11. Big Short
12. Sleuth
13. Star Wars
14. Blade Runner
15. Saving Private Ryan
16. Hunt for Red October
17. Life of Brian
Is that a "least best" or "most mediocre"? Maybe "worst"?

The top 8 are pretty great for me and then it goes down from there. I don't dislike any of them.

Btw, I edited my original post as I mistakenly ranked Human Condition II twice and left out part III.

Cool. I'm glad you enjoy those seventeen! I try not to encourage negativity because I like being around positive people.

Re: Your edit. Yeah, I noticed it, but I figured one of them had to be III, so I didn't press. I also had other people to which to reply, and forgot.

That's the best way to get it. It's at least $36 on Amazon, but totally worth it. I hope you dig 'em!

Nice concept. I've done a top 5 instead

Life of Brian
No Country for Old Men
Star Wars Episode IV New Hope
Blade Runner
Ikiru

I'd rate 'the good, the bad and the weird' as Jee Won Kim's weakest film though. I'm surprised it would make anybody's top 25!

Ultraviolence 06-06-17 10:55 AM

  1. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
  2. New World (2013)
  3. Ran (1985)
  4. The Good, the Bad, the Weird

Ooh, another fan of those two Korean films! They don't seem to appear on favorite lists that often.

Life of Brian is hilarious, so it's cool to see it get love.

I've always enjoyed The Good, the Bad, the Weird, and it's a combination of my favorite genre, Western, and my favorite country for movies, South Korea, so it's a fitting #1.

I don't mean it is bad, just weird, a woman might reconsider to marry you if she knew this is your top 25 favorite movies kind of weird. :D

...And of course: Tg,Tb, Tw is another great cast: Song Kang-ho, Lee Byung-hun, Jung Woo-sung and directed by the master Kim Jee-woon!

Great, great films!
