The movie was OK I guess. The pictures posted here seem scarier than it to be honest.
Maybe because it was hyped up too much before it came out that I was expecting more from it.
I'd describe it as a level above Goosebumps, suited for primary to middle school students.

I enjoyed the film a lot. I found it to be very creepy and interesting. It does have its flaws and corn ball moments but it was honestly one of the best theater experiences I've had in a long time.

This was better than I expected. I somehow managed to miss these books, even though I am an avid reader, so i can't comment on the film's faithfulness in that regard. As someone going in cold, knowing very little about the material, I thought the film worked, for the most part.
