I don't see anything in Begins that is THAT outstanding. The action sequences aren't particularly that interesting, Katie Holmes is wooden as an actress, and Christian Bale while a great actor doesn't do all that much. All I saw was a good superhero film, but it's not a masterpiece lol.

Good but not a masterpiece probably describes most of the films in the imdb list.
I'm dubious in any case about imdb and their mysterious weighting system. Some of the overall scores don't seem to tally with the voter breakdowns. But that too is probably best discussed in a different thread. |
Its Bayer Theorem. It takes the number of votes into count to put every movie on an equal platform. Coz not all movies get the same number of votes.
And also there is a number of votes for the movie to get into the list. I think its 6000. That's logical. I would say the voting system is pretty sound, but the people voting are not. We tend to use the terms great, amazing, 8's, 9's and 10's pretty loosely. |
