I'm down with that. Does anyone else have any other suggested documentary lists? The more "official" the better. If that's the best we have, it'll certainly work, but I wanted to see if anyone felt there were any better options.

There is no way there are 28 documentaries that are better than Man on Wire. Maybe five. Maybe.

I noticed with the list that donniedarko posted that the majority of documentaries were made after 2000, while the oldest one listed is from 1988. Were there really no worthwhile documentaries made before the eighties?

It's a website and a TV show dedicated to documentaries of the last 25 years. Here's a bigger variety based on age.

Ah, didn't notice it was documentaries from the last 25 years. But yeah, I think the list from Time Out would be a better option.

I agree that the Timeout one works better (I think Jesus Camp should've been included though). Either way I've seen so few of these films, time to watch more documentaries.

Wha? I bet Man On Wire would be lucky to be in a top 50.
