Re: Favourite Screen Villains
Favorite screen villains, in no particular order:
Lt. Schrank, in West Side Story. Simon Oakland pulled this off well--and believably, to boot. "Jem" Coughlin in The Town (Jem, imho, was the only really believable character in this film, and Jeremy Renner pulled it off quite well.) The wicked Queen, in Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs Yeh....she was an interesting character, all right! Johnny Depp as Whitey Bulger in the film Black Mass. Johnny Depp pulled it off, quite well. |

Yeah but also another great part he had was the cop in Blue Steel.
Apparently the Kurgan started out differently on paper than the behaviour we saw in the film, which Brown wasn't too comfortable doing. The original idea was that the only thing the Kurgan got up for in the morning was finishing the Game, which as an idea would have made him a lot more interesting and complex than the usual insane tongue-flicker you get in the Highlander films. http://ingridrichter.info/cheese/gra...wn_clancy3.jpg |

because in the finished film he definitely seems to be focused on winning the Game anyway. As interesting and complex an idea as that would have been, I'm not sure it would have gelled all that well with the actual movie's unapologetically B-grade vibe.
